Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

Top Justice Department officials told a federal judge on Monday that the Trump administration is invoking the state secrets privilege to avoid giving him information about deportation flights from earlier this month that are at the center of a legal dispute over whether the government flouted his judicial commands.

“The Court has all of the facts it needs to address the compliance issues before it,” Attorney General Pam Bondi and other top DOJ officials wrote in a filing to US District Judge James Boasberg. “Further intrusions on the Executive Branch would present dangerous and wholly unwarranted separation-of-powers harms with respect to diplomatic and national security concerns that the Court lacks competence to address.”

“The information sought by the Court is subject to the state secrets privilege because disclosure would pose reasonable danger to national security and foreign affairs,” the officials wrote in the 10-page filing.

The problem with the "state secrets" argument here is that it proves too much. If we accept the state secrets idea in this case, it means there is basically NO case where the government will have to answer any questions or provide information. I'm EVERY case, the government could say "state secrets" and every due process or civil rights claim would be dismissed.

The judge just has to point out that there were cameras / recorders and resulting pictures and videos of the people released as propaganda.

Simply highlighting this fact negates any argument from the Trump regime that they can't identify any of the victims due to "national security".

The reality is they KNOW they did this to at least some innocent people who were law abiding and following the rules in regard to immigration etc. They spent a week trying to dig up or manufacture some believable "dirt" on those folks and have failed. Pulling this routine is their last gambit to try to either cover up their misdeeds or delay things long enough that it falls out of the current news cycle.

“The need for additional information here is not merely ‘dubious,’ … or ‘trivial,’ … it is non-existent. The Executive Branch violated no valid order through its actions, and the Court has all it needs to evaluate compliance.” Then why the problem giving the judge requested information?? Nothin but "transparency" from this "administration.

While the actual state secrets are being released by Pete Hegseth to a reporter from the Atlantic.

More from the **** show: https://www.yahoo.com/news/rats-card-tables-byo-toilet-090155331.html

Defense Department employees returned to work at an Army base in the Midwest only to find their offices were not mission ready.

Crammed into tight quarters, they sit elbow to elbow at card tables and talk over one another on the phone and on video calls. There are few spots to break for lunch or a snack because all of the cafeterias on the base shut down long ago.

Supplies are so scarce that they have to bring their own toilet paper and paper towels. To help out undermanned cleaning crews struggling to keep up with germ-riddled bathrooms and dirty workspaces, employees are told to pack up their trash and take it home with them.

Morale has cratered as employees juggle long commutes and child care headaches, said a Defense Department employee who spoke on the condition of anonymity. Once driven to boost productivity, they now punch in and out like clockwork and have all but given up answering calls and emails after hours.

“We honestly get way more done at home than at the office, but those are facts and no one seems to want to know facts anymore,” he told USA TODAY. “This will end up costing the government much more money than it will ever save.”

His experience reflects the sometimes harsh realities of a rushed return to headquarters and field offices around the country ill prepared for a massive flood of workers after years of telework

Multiple top Trump officials insisted Tuesday — including under oath — that "no classified material" or "war plans" were shared in a Signal group chat that mistakenly included The Atlantic's editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg.

Why it matters: The White House has confirmed the authenticity of the explosive text messages published by The Atlantic, but disputed Goldberg's claim that he withheld "operational details" about U.S. strikes in Yemen out of concern that they were classified.

  • Goldberg, who was accidentally invited to the chat by national security adviser Mike Waltz, said the texts included the specific time, targets and sequencing of the operation.
  • "The information contained in them, if they had been read by an adversary of the United States, could conceivably have been used to harm American military and intelligence personnel," Goldberg wrote.
Driving the news: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, whom Goldberg said had shared the sensitive operational details, categorically denied Monday that "war plans" were discussed in the group chat.

  • White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt reiterated that denialTuesday and added that "no classified material was sent to the thread" — slamming Goldberg as a journalist known for "sensationalist spin."
  • CIA director John Ratcliffe and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard both testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee Tuesday that "no classified material" was shared in the Signal chat.

  • The intrigue: Goldberg has pushed back hard on the Trump administration's attacks on his integrity and reporting, and left open the door to publishing the texts that he initially withheld.
    • "Maybe in the coming days, I'll be able to let you know that I have a plan to have this material vetted publicly," Goldberg told The Bulwark Podcast.
    • He cautioned, however, that he takes national security information "very seriously" — regardless of whether it's classified or not — and is "sticking to my principles here."

Am I reading this correctly that one of the group chat participants was literally in the Kremlin while this was happening?

You can tell that this **** up is resonating with voters by the way Trump world is reacting. They’re acting the exact same way they did during the first impeachment.

1. They initially denied it happening. Trump denied knowing anything about. Which you know is a lie because he only denies stuff he knows about.

2. They’re now trying to demonize the journalist.

3. Soon they’ll move onto acceptance. They’ll admit they cocked up but will dare their own voters to turn against them. “We did it, so what? What are ya gonna do? Impeach a third time? Hold up legislation like tax cuts to our biggest donors until Hegseth resigns?”

And you can tell the cultists on here are searching for the Fox News talking pts and/or waiting for this mess to blow over and wait for the next Trump **** up by how they’re silent over there.

Anyone see Buck, Al, or Jazzy these days?

So I guess Tulsi Gabbard recently had a meeting with Jackson Hinkie.
Jackson Hinkie tweeted out over the weekend that trump should be doing targeted strikes on kiev, London and Brussels instead of Yemen.

I hope one day we get the whole Tulsi Gabbard documentary that shows when and how she got bought.
That documentary will look very different from what you are imagining.

It starts with Bernie-supporting Tulsi Gabbard being vice chair of the Democrat National Committee under Debbie Wasserman Schultz when she discovered that Wasserman-Schultz was conspiring with the Hillary Clinton campaign to steal the nomination away from Bernie. Tulsi resigned rather than being party to it and she publicly endorsed Bernie for President. The Hillary Clinton campaign and Wasserman-Schultz's DNC then smeared Tulsi to destroy her credibility before she could expose their corruption. In the end, everyone found out about Hillary working with Wasserman-Schultz to shaft Bernie, but these days all anyone remember is the smear they concocted to slander Tulsi. The end. That is your documentary.
