Homeland Security Secretary can't even keep her own purse secure.

"Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem fell victim to a thief while eating dinner at a downtown Washington, DC, restaurant Sunday night, two sources familiar with the incident, including a law enforcement source, told CNN.

The Secret Service, which provides security for Noem, reviewed security camera footage at the restaurant and saw an unknown white male wearing a medical mask steal her bag and leave the restaurant.

The thief got away with Noem’s driver’s license, medication, apartment keys, passport, DHS access badge, makeup bag, blank checks, and about $3,000 in cash, the law enforcement source said.

The Secret Service has launched an investigation to trace any use of Noem’s financial instruments, the person said."

If she needs tips on how to keep her purse secure I'm sure my wife would be happy to help.

My wife cannot keep her purse secure. She leaves it all over the damn place. At least once every couple of months we go on a wild goose chase covering all the places she has been in the past 48 hours to hunt down her purse. Most of the time she can call a handful of places and find the place she left it. For a while her preferred choice of places to leave her purse was Kohl's, to the point where we had an office manager who would just call her and let her know she left her bag there again. I am just glad there is no way in hell she is carrying around $3k in cash for a casual night out.

(**cue the humble-brags about how $3k barely counts as pocket change, I carry at least $10k all the time, I don't trust banks, blah blah blah **)

When we go to a place like hot pot or a buffet my wife requires that someone stay at the table at all times so that her purse will be secure. At a restaurant she has to arrange our seating so that the chair or seat her purse is on is away from traffic lanes. Her purse is never out of her sight unless I swear a sacred oath to protect it while she is away from it. I have never had to help her find her purse in our 35 years of knowing each other.

Yeah when my wife and I go out to eat I just make sure I have my wallet and her purse stays in the car. No need to even take it in. I also hold her phone in my pocket since nothing she wears ever has any pockets so she tends to leave her phone on the table or on the seat, so I just got in the habit of carrying it in my pocket for her.

A torrent of stupidity, and todays Hegseth news barely eeks out the win.

"In a bizarre rant, Trump claimed the Biden administration had spent $8billion on "transgender mice." Discussing some of the wasteful government spending the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) – headed up by Musk – has been targeting, he said: "[We found] $8 million for making mice transgender. This is real."

This claim was later debunked, with ABC talk show host Jimmy Kimmel explaining: "It's not real. The government spent money on transgenic mice, which are genetically modified mice they use in lab tests to study disease."
Debunking does not matter. This has come up a few times on my wife's family's feeds on facebook, that if they are willing to spend $8 billion on transgender mice then they will take your children and make them transgender while they are in school without your knowledge. The cult believes it all and makes the excuses for him. He just has to imply and they turn it into gospel truth.

That’s a go bag.

She’s ready to leave the country on the drop.
