Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

Biden is getting absolutely savaged for his awful farewell address. There was actually a rumor being floated the address was pre-taped but the strongest defense of it being done in a single take was that no handlers would have let it air if they had the ability to edit it.

It isn't only right wing sources panning the speech.

Ah yes because opinion is 100% fact. Name proven facts that are unbiased on why Trump is incredible as you so seem to say
"Incredible" is a subjective term. What is incredible to me may not be incredible to you. That said, the piece you quoted was from notorious Trump-hater George Will, and he was not praising Trump but was instead detailing why he believed Biden to have been an awful US President. He lists off a number of facts, and you may agree or disagree on if those facts translate to you believing Biden being as awful as George Will or Biden's low approval rating indicate.

The only legit reason why Biden has low approval ratings is because of the Republican/uneducated voter majority. and I never said Incredible wasn't suggestive, I used in in your terms, the way you imply it. I'm really saying that you need evidence and fact over propaganda and opinion

And Al-O-Meter, I just checked out all your general discussion things...

Democrats own the LA fire. (no, nature owns it. and that's how its been every year.)
Democrats want to ban medical anesthesia because of climate change. (Why would pro medicine and healthcare advocates do that? very contradictary and unsensical on your part.)
Trump made the ceasefire deal happen not Biden. (reminder, Trump isn't president yet *******. He CAN'T do anything.)
Hillary Clinton caught plotting against the government with retired generals. (it's real, man! I'm telling you!)
Teen's breasts grow to Triple-G cup following Covid vaccine. (what the hell are you yapping about?)
Wait Wut? Kamala Harris planted the J6 pipe bomb? (she ain't a terrorist, shes a former prosecutor and first women vice president.)
Trump wins again! Suck it! (Why do you view people with different opinions as enemies? Are you Episode 3 Anakin? "IF YOU ARENT WITH ME YOU ARE AGAINST ME)
Jack Smith Drops all charges against Trump. It was a political theater against Trump all along. (Trump could have pardoned himself otherwise, its a lose-lose situation.)

'I don't think anyone voted for that': Trump's own fans bracing for 'catastrophic' cuts

Educators and families in areas where Donald Trump's "America First" seemed to resonate the most could be hit with "catastrophic" cuts.

Tom Gambrel, the superintendent of Bell County, Kentucky, schools, joined most of his neighbors and cast his vote for Trump with his students in mind, but he told CNN that he hopes the president-elect doesn't carry through with his plan to cut federal education funding.

“I don’t think that anyone in our county wants to cut our school funding," Gambrel said, "and I don’t think that anyone voted for that."

Gambrel said the proposed cuts would be “catastrophic," forcing teacher layoffs, packing more students into classrooms and getting less attention for vulnerable students.

A CNN analysis found that all 15 of the states that rely most heavily on federal support for public schools in 2022 backed Trump in November, while all but two of the 15 that receive the fewest federal dollars as a percentage of their overall revenue supported Kamala Harris.

“This is one of these cases where (Republican) policies are stabbing their base right in the heart and will directly impact their kids,” said Will Ragland, vice president of the Center for American Progress.

"I don't think anyone voted for that"

Of course not. Trump voters voted for their own personal fantasy of what Trump is. He says one thing that violates their fantasy and they scream at you for bringing it up because you clearly didn't understand that he was being sarcastic. You bring up another thing he said and they just claim that's not what he meant.

Will the real Donald Trump please stand up?

The dude's been a ****ing corpse for 3 years at least .. nothing to do with that ?? He was so lame and inept it resulted in a majority of Americans voting for an orange faced nutter again. But ok uEdUCatEd voters are to blame.

This is the way it works in fascist cults. And he is exactly who he shows is he is, a fascist cult leader. The people are brainwashed by his rhetoric. They can only see what he wants them to see. That's it. I just hope he doesn't do too much damage in the next 4 years. That's about all we can hope for.

Yeah, exactly. I don’t think he actually attacks anti-Trumpers all that often, he’s not too personal in his disagreements (whereas I am at times), so it was telling to see how he really feels: the anti-Trumpers only deserve the ridicule implied by his comment. His idea of our future seems to include the hope that Americans who differ with Trump are silenced. We need to be put in our place: Thus his message to us: suck it!

If one understands that the forces that can be unleashed in a society undergoing social, political, and cultural stress, can include the appearance, and strong appeal, of demagogues like Donald Trump; if, in other words, one understands the past…INFORMS…the present, and is willing to view Trump from the perspective of the lessons of history, the anti-Trump movement is perfectly understandable. That one comment by AI demonstrates that that is most likely a foreign concept to him. He wants Trump to continue being the disruptive and divisive man he has been. Hence the GLEE that he cannot resist expressing by that one comment…..

They did vote for this though. I knew he wanted to cut funding for education. He also wants to cut back on regulations which means the FDA and EPA. So if our food, air, water, and soil all get much worse and more unhealthy then they can't say they didn't vote for that. If Medicaid and Medicare and social security benefits decrease they also can't say they didn't vote for that. If inflation goes up they can't say they didn't vote for that when expert after expert in study after study explained that his tarrifs and immigration/deportation policies would hurt us economically. They can't complain when the deficit explodes either since he has been spouting off about massive tax cuts.
They also can't complain if he is a fascist dictator who throws the Constitution out the window. Can't complain if he is embarrassing and divisive non stop and if he hires people who are completely inexperienced and bad at their jobs. Can't complain if he is corrupt and dishonest and immoral.
All of this is what they voted for.

If you are a trump voter and want to complain about something then complain about all the Greenland, Canada, Panama, Gulf of America talk. That came out of nowhere and was never talked about during his presidential campaign from what i remember.
On the other hand, you also voted for someone who is unpredictable and unhinged and weird who says things like maybe we should launch a nuke at a hurricane and maybe you should inject yourself with disinfectant and they are eating the cats and dogs and sleeps with porn stars and pays them to be quiet with campaign funds. Erratic behavior is a trump staple. So ya, that is also what you voted for I guess.

But cutting education funding should be no surprise to anyone. trump doesn't want an educated populace. He loves the uneducated.

From the comments section: I don't have a problem with this except that I don't think they'll be doing much, but then I guess that's what most ambassadors do most of the time. Frankly, it seems like Trump is awarding them merit badges for being loyal facists and supporting insurrection in democracy.

It comes as no shock to me that Trump would pick cop hating, woman abusing, antisemite Mel Gibson. There are tapes of this man saying things to his then girlfriend that I would not say to a pig. He was threatenting and disgusting and he allegedly laid hands on her. She is not the only woman to claim this. There is also dash cam footage of him ripping in to an L.A. County Sheriff's deputy when he was stopped for DUI. He made disgusting comments about law enforcement and worse comments about this law enforcement officer being Jewish. Trump has no issues with antisemites and has made plenty of comments of his own. He wants to pardon people that permanently disabled, killed and injured over 160 police officers at the US Capitol, so clearly he has no issues with people that injure and disrespect our brave police officers and his behavior towards women is also on tape. He admits to grabbing their genitals without consent. He was found liable for sexually assualting a woman. He admitted in an interview that when he owned Miss Teen USA that he would walk through the changing rooms. He was learing at underage girls. He has picked people for his cabinet that have allegations of sexual assualt and abuse. Obviuosly Matt Gaetz was the first. A man who's own collegues, including Republicans felt he sexually abused a teen and trafficed minors. Hegseth paid off a woman to drop a rape charge. Linda McMahaon settled a sex abuse lawsuit as well. Picking Mel Gibson is just more proof that Trump is just fine with people who are sexual predators, cop haters and bigots. This is a sad commentary. Shame on anyone who has a daughter or granddaughter that voted for Donald. Would you want him or Mel Gibson to be alone with one of your female loved ones?

It is weird to have to explain humor, but the entire comment was tongue-in-cheek. That was the header for Trump being cited as telling the biggest lie. I wasn't actually trying to rub it in that Trump told the biggest lie. I was poking fun at that 'biggest lie' award, not the people posting here on the board.
