Trump's New Years Greeting to Americans

Just when I thought the man's tweets could not get more petty and petulant, he gives us this:

"Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don’t know what to do. Love!

Does that sound like someone who intends to be a President for all Americans? Is that a unifying message meant to be inclusive of all Americans?

65 million voted against him. Are we now to understand that he regards us as his enemies? Well, he can count on me to join the resistance. Yes, Mr. Trump, please regard me as an enemy. For which reason, of course I know what to do. Resist just about everything you stand for. Beginning with the many anti-science people appointed to your administration.

But, really, just reading that tweet as it is worded, it's actually part of a pattern. For some reason, his holiday tweets have often addressed his "many enemies". The guy's wrapped up in himself to some considerable degree in order to tweet such a New Year's greeting that seems to suggest the next American President regards quite a few of his fellow American citizens as his enemies. Thanks, Donald, we're fond of you too. Happy New Year Mr. President-Elect!

From what a I can see, Trump's governing style will consist of tweets and rallies. The rallies will,only attract the followers of his cult of personality. The tweets will often single out people and groups for derision. I'm sure it will include accusations of "enemies of America" and "losers". And,as some individuals have found out the hard way, words spoken against Trump will often elicit death threats, publishing home addresses, etc. he just seems determined to divide, not unite. The right vs. left has always had the potential to turn as ugly as a near civil war. His governance will promote that approach. Why? Well, his ego is as big as it gets, and I'm guessing most of his days will be concerned with devising ways to punish his enemies. Yeah, the country really needs that.....

Yeah, our country was so unified just 50 or so years ago when Medgar Evers was being shot and killed from behind as he returned home and got of his car. Such a great time for all.

The funny thing is, Trump is right. The Democrats don't know what to do. Demanding recounts in states where they lost by 10s of thousand of votes. Blaming the Russians for the loss. Sudden deep concerns over "hacking". It's pathetic really.

Obummer tried to creat Civil War II an you are upset about a tweet? He could not do it so he settled for creating civil unrest in as many Mid East countries as possible, with Hillarys help.

Ok. You have a point. But it works both ways. The triggered liberals stuff is just a repsonse to calling everyone racists, homophobes, xenophobes, etc..Im not saying you specifically do that all the time, but it is what a lot of people on the left do. You cant have a conversation with that either. The left basically issues threats to anyone that disagrees with them. Its you will change your views to my ways or I will try to ruin you with one of these labels. People are getting fed up with it. So they are just firing back with their own labels. This is the main underlying problem with the two halfs of America. Its not going to get better any time soon if the left keeps it up.

Lets just use immigration as an example. The left will have no conversation about it. You just get labeled a racist if mention it all. But, believe it or not, its more complicated than just about race. Not all people who have a concern about it are racist. They know that about themselves, so when they get called one, they no longer believe its even possible to have a conversation about it. That conversation and complexity includes a lot of things, such as welfare, taxes, crime, etc. Its doesnt make anyone a racist if they dont want to pay to support someone else. A lot of people in a America can barely afford to pay for themselves. In fact they cant even do that. Most people are debt slaves and see no way out. Then they are told that they will need to pay more to support other people. That support includes using schools, hospitals, etc, without paying taxes. People see the rising cost of healthcare and know its partly because of too much immigration. These are legit concerns of people who are just trying to survive. They are not racists because they are just trying to survive.



Expect labels to come back at you when you use them on other people.
