It's going to be very interesting to see when he reaches the NBA whether/to what extent JV's tremendous offensive efficiency is partly due to his team's play. Lithuania's team has 4 of the 8 top TS% players among players in the tourney receiving significant minutes. JV's ridiculous 72% is only 4th on his team. Does this all change once he no longer has the great efficiency/passing in the wings and guards opening things up for him? When the system he's in is no longer so obviously superior to other systems?
great obsevation and one of the reasons I felt JV was better fit for Jazz then Kanter. Jazz were always around top teams in assists in league and having a guy who operates so effective on pick and roll would be very beneficial for both pass happy team and a player ( LT leads tourney in assists ). Now Kanter is more like big AL - iso , post up, back to the basket player and it is yet to be seen if he can become effective passer out of the double teams and low block. It might be that Corbin will change Jazz offense to adjust to current roster strength and we will see more iso plays then before and Kanter should thrive in that type of offense.
