They get DJ Wilson who was the #17 pick in a stacked draft this year. If they like him they do the trade (and they likely evaluated him during the draft process) if they don't they pass. They would also get our second rounder... it's the difference of 20 draft spots.

They may not like him.
 
I don't really think these are great trades, but I do think these are realistic returns to be thinking about getting for our guys. Favors will probably only get you a mid to late first, and Ricky would basically be a salary dump at this point with how badly he has played.

I'd probably not do the Rubio one, and hope that I can rehab his value more over the summer with some individual work on his game. If not, I'd be ok with something like that trade to just clear cap space.
 
Sorry the three team trade for Booker idea just died. Brooklyn sent Booker to Philly for 2 -top ten picks and second round pick.

Of course I'd like to take this moment to sarcastically blast Dennis Lindsey for letting Booker walk for nothing when his NBA value is clearly 2 lottery picks and more.
 
Great trade for Philly. Booker will do okay there.

And Booker is an expiring contract. If Booker can get that, Favors could get that. We need to trade him soon while he has value.

Great trade for both teams. Booker will be helpful in Philly. Nets get a couple young players that could be busts but they will get playing time and maybe develop a bit.

#1 Rubio to Phoenix for Greg Monroe

#2 Favors and our 2018 2nd to Cavs for Frye, Osman, Calderon and the Cavs 2018 1st.

Phoenix has some terrible contracts that expire after the 2018/19 season. Rubio is young enough and worth the gamble to see if he fits next to that young corp. We do this to dump him since Monroe is an expiring.

Cavs need a center upgrade and this comes at low cost. They move back about 15-20 spots in the draft and give up Osman who they haven't been able to get on the floor yet.

Result:

PG Mitchell, Neto
SG Hood, Burks
SF Ingles, Thabo, Osman
PF Jerekbo, JoeJ, Royce
C Gobert, Udoh, Bradley
IR Exum

We decide to keep the best of Monroe, Calderon and Frye. All are expiring. We waive the other 2.

Overall: Add a late first round pick for Favors, clear up cap from dumping Rubio to comfortably re-sign Hood and Exum in the summer, and maybe Osman develops into something....

His trade would happen way before Cleveland gives a top ten pick for Favors. Your so dumb
 
I am sure if a screaming deal came along that we would trade Rubio but I don't see it happening and I doubt he is part of the offers the Jazz are throwing out there.
