And here I was just telling my grade 7s to only use big words when they are sure of their meaning.
Rep'd. What an awful OP. Let the season start already.

A career ending injury? So you want the guy to get hurt? What a jackass. I am no fan of Bell and I think he was horrendous last year but I dont want the guy to get hurt.
...lighten up! A "career ending" injury for Bell would be......a sprained ankle!
You're right, whoever is on the court during crunch time is what's important. But starting Bell would be like starting a game 4-on-5 and the opposition could build a 15 point lead right off the bat because he's so deficient in every facet of the game. Corbin is a basketcase and probably thinks he has to start Bell because of his reputation from 2005.

No!!!! The notion that Bell is a good defender is absolutely preposterous! He was abused the last three seasons he's played in the NBA on that side of the floor.
We actually know very little of Corbin's coaching style or effectiveness. What is your evidence he is a "basketcase"?
You should edit your post to 'I actually know...'
WE (real jazz fans who watched every game last season) know plenty from last season's stint about his style/effectiveness. My evidence he is a basketcase is watching his demeanor on the sidelines, substitution patterns (especially during different circumstances) and post game interviews.
I've said since the end of last season I'll give him 20 games into the start of this season before the first-year excuse rubs off. I'm hoping he's learned basketball isn't a game of dissonance and has a better feel for the personnel on the roster. But if after 20 games into the season he doesn't have the right guys on the floor, in roles best suited for their skill-sets, then I will be screaming from the highest mountain in Utah for his job!
I still have severe issues.
