We actually know very little of Corbin's coaching style or effectiveness. What is your evidence he is a "basketcase"? We also have no idea who is going to start. We all have our guesses, but we will all in some way be surprised when it all kicks off.

I have the highest rep per post in the history of this website. How dare you, and your passive aggressiveness, challenge me! Nothing I've ever written could ever be labeled as awful. I admitted my error earlier in this thread. I know what the meanings of successor and predecessor are - it was just really early when I typed the message. I was also boiling over with delusional rage. I cannot wait for the season to start - so we're in agreement there.

He knows how to defend, and was a fiery defender when he was good.
Now he's injured and old and he just hasn't been able to get it done.

He might be ok as a mentor though. He is well spoken, and should be able to clearly define what should be done.
Remember coaches don't necessarily still have to be able to do the things they are coaching, they just have to know how to get others to do them.

That being said, I'm not defending Bell as a mentor, I just don't know one way or the other.... but it could be possible.
 
Bell has his use for the Jazz. I mean someone has to keep the chairs warm for the guys as they sub in and out.

You should edit your post to 'I actually know...'

WE (real jazz fans who watched every game last season) know plenty from last season's stint about his style/effectiveness. My evidence he is a basketcase is watching his demeanor on the sidelines, substitution patterns (especially during different circumstances) and post game interviews.

I've said since the end of last season I'll give him 20 games into the start of this season before the first-year excuse rubs off. I'm hoping he's learned basketball isn't a game of dissonance and has a better feel for the personnel on the roster. But if after 20 games into the season he doesn't have the right guys on the floor, in roles best suited for their skill-sets, then I will be screaming from the highest mountain in Utah for his job!

Agree.

Can't wait for about two weeks into the season, when the board monkeys will be throwing **** around like kids on a playground having a snowball fight.

No games going on yet, but I guess some people just have to have something to complain about.
