Don't have a specific cure. However, the best we can do is be looking to upgrade at every position (including the coaching staff) when possible. Or, we could just say it is what it is .. and remain the same.
I agree.
But I think Jazz fans need to realize that no coach is perfect... Especially with a younger less experienced one like Ty Corbin.
I think fans need to also realize that even the Jazz franchise might be a little confused at this point. Play the young guys? Or stick and fight for a playoff?
To fans, it's easy to say "PLAY THE YOUNG GUYS! WHO CARES ABOUT THIS SEASON?" When in reality, how many coaches "play the young guys" and lose more games and then end up being fired? Ty Corbin isn't doing what's best for the Jazz franchise, nor should he. He should be doing what's best for his own job career, which means WIN GAMES. By whatever means possible. Which is, IMO, a huge reason why he is reluctant to turn the reigns over to the young kids.
Today's coaching is WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY? It's not... THANKS FOR TANKING THIS SEASON TO DEVELOP OUR YOUNG GUYS.
I want to see the young guys play.... But having said that, I also know that Ty is faced with different pressures and stresses than I. Who knows, maybe KOC has demanded he play the vets in order to raise their trade value?
The other strategies about timeouts and such, meh, no one is perfect. I think with more experience he'll gain a better feel for when to use timeouts and who to draw up the plays for.
We're not that great of a team. Seriously, if you had to draw up a last second shot for our team, would you really be confident that we could deliver? I wouldn't.
Back in the day I would. we had Hornacek, Malone, Bruss, and Stockton who could all nail big shots.
The Heat have two guys that can hit big shots. In fact, most playoff teams have guys that can hit big shots. Even non-playoff teams, like PHX have Nash.
We have????????????????????????????.............
Harris? Ugh...
Big Al? gross...
Maybe Millsap?
Other options? chucker miles? Airball Hayward? Josh Howard? Rookie Burks? At this point, rookie Burks might be our best perimeter scorer.
