Oh yeah. I remember that too. How did that beef all start?

I was more than likely being a bitch/attention whore/cry baby/ stealing people's thunder type of guy. He made it randomly one day though, after nothing big. With that being said, we did make up via PMs. We're all good now. I used to not see that there is actually more to life than online feuds. They made my day. ;)

The "N Word"? I thought it was a Tigger shirt.

UB was a good bowler, and a good man. He was one of us. He was a man who loved the outdoors... and bowling, and as a surfer he explored the beaches of Southern California, from La Jolla to Leo Carrillo and... up to... Pismo. He was suspended, like so many young men of his generation, he suspended before his time. In your wisdom, Lord, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at JazzFanz. These young men gave their screen lives. And so would UB. UB, who loved bowling. And so, Unsightly Beefcurtains, in accordance with what we think your dying wishes might well have been, we commit your final mortal remains to the bosom of the Pacific Ocean, which you loved so well. Good night, sweet prince

If I ever die (I'm hoping they find a cure for that) I want you to write my eulogy.

We should all have a moment of silence after YB's tribute to UB.
I honestly think YB is Ender Wiggin, the Speaker for the Dead.
Thank you Ender.

Bronco, I remember when you first joined jazzfanz like it was yesterday...such a sweet spirit and so happy-go-lucky. We got along, shared a joke or two. Truly a beautiful time.

Then you decided to become a moderator. Something changed in you. It's like your very soul has been sucked out of your body. Where has the sweet Bronco70 that I know and loved gone? I miss him Bronco...I miss him.

Just so you're aware, I didn't volunteer to be a moderator. I was asked to do it, back whenever. Not something I aspired to do, to be quite honest, but as this is my favorite place to waste time, I figured I could contribute something to the board. So I agreed.

Sometimes, being a mod is a pain. Almost every time you have to do some moderating, someone will be upset about it. People take it personally. But the moderating protocol is set up to guard against personal vendettas and such. As mods, we try to be as fair and reasonable as we can, while still maintaining the order that Jason wants his forum have. I can only speak for myself, but I don't feel any sense of real power from the position. And there are probably (surely) a lot of posters who dislike me as a mod, who otherwise might not even notice I was on the board. So, aside from the satisfaction of helping Jason keep the board running, there isn't much upside to the gig.

I like you, O>D. And I'm glad you spoke your mind. I hope you understand my side of it a little better.

Just so everyone knows, I suspect Bronco is the best moderator to argue infractions with. I don't argue them but if I receive a notification from Bronco then I will. You'll get no defense from him. He's like a pouncing large cat and goes straight for the jugular. Give him a try next time and I'm sure you won't be let down.

Clearly.

This is a very serious thread. Please keep it going, thank you.

I went bowling last night in UB's memory. Bowled a personal best of 145...I felt like he was right there with me the whole time.

I think OD is having such a hard time with this because he sees himself as Maverick and feels responsible for the loss of Goose, I mean UB.
