What's new

un educated jazz fans piss me off

A lot of you misunderstood what I was saying. I just hate losing.

I realize all these moves are smart and they are necessary for the Jazz to succeed in the long term. Doesn't mean I have to like the product they are going to putting on the floor each night. That being said, once OKC got Durrant they still had a bad season or two before they became really good.

I just want the Jazz to win now and always. I hate the in between losing crap seasons. I hate hearing about other teams doing well in the playoffs and not seeing the Jazz there anymore. I'm not going to jump to another team that wins because they can buy championships.

That being said, I just can't believe everyone on the board "excited" about the prospect of "losing" to me that sucks.

Lindsay hires/fires Ty at the end of the year. I'm sure Lindsay spoke to Ty about what he expects from Ty for Ty to keep his job, and I bet wins and losses never once came up.

Uhhhh...because we dream of being the next OKC, SA, Chicago, Indiana, Memphis competing for titles and not playoff berths?

I trust the Jazz FO and let's face it I'm not going anywhere. A lot of those teams built their teams in FA though, Chicago got really lucky and got a number 1 pick when they shouldn't have but look at teams like Portland, how many lottery seasons have they had in the past 8 or 9 years? Most of them? I don't want to see the Jazz end up that way, just perpetually trying to get the "next big thing".

I know the Jazz are smarter than that and I'll probably tolerate one or two poor seasons if we have the talent to back it up, I just don't want to see it become a trend.

I agree with the last sentence. But I'm all behind one year of difficulty with such an obvious goal in mind.

What proof do you have it will be a trend. Look at what happened the last time they got a top 10 pick - Deron. No trend.

Heck, even this year. No playoffs, they draft the best pg, cut lose the players hurting this team, gather new picks in the deepest future drafts, AND have 30 million in cap space next summer (2 max deals if they want) and you are worried?

Just enjoy next year. Have fun when Hayward goes off for thirty one night but the Jazz lose. Enjoy every P&R will Burke and Favors. Relish every crazy English layup from Burks. You are seeing the future. You can tell your kids you were there when Utah climbed out of mediocrity and became a better version of the Spurs.

Soak it up.

Hate to say this to you Green but...

I TOLD YOU SO!!!!

I'll see how it plays out obviously. The games have not been played and I'm not certain the Jazz are done yet. We will have so many valuable expiring contracts and versatility when the trade deadline comes that we could improve even more.

and i was probably way too hasty in my judgement, and I'll let it play out, but I mean there was no way we were keeping Sap, Al, Mo anyways, and it wasn't like that was a championship starting lineup. so it is all for the best.

LOL.. c'mon man!!! I told you we'd let the Jefferson/Millsap contract run out and go young!!!

To be honest though I don't think you could have foreseen the Lindsey Hire which to me made a lot of this happen...

I was worried at first. But they have been amazing. I know some peeps in the Jazz org, nothing too amazing, but back in Nov they were sure the Jazz wouldn't let Al walk. They said a big who scores and wants to be in Utah...they didn't think Miller would let that get away. That spooked me. Especially how much Al played.
