What's new

Unofficial GAMETHREAD: Us @ Them's (Or Jazz at Suns)TONIGHT at 7pm -- #maybestreaming

As a starter Burke is averaging 13pts, 1 steal, 3 1/2 assists. to 1 3/4 turnovers, almost 4 boards shooting 41% from 3 and hasn't missed a free throw 6/6. Not bad at all. And getting much more comfortable/confident. He will be the rookie of the year if he keeps this up imo

Burke was sweet tonight. Hard to complain about a win when it comes directly from the great play of one of our young guys.

I could see Utah winning tonight. I could see PHX, after beating us twice now, taking it a little easy. The worst thing that could happen for Utah, is they get up 10 pts early in the first, then PHX turns it on and beats them...or is that the best thing that could happen?

BOOM BITCHES.

Sorry jazzfanz. I have called all three wins. I should stop doing that.

Couldn't watch game, glad Burke is improving. #ChurchofBurkE

Also

Dayum Pimpslap went 4/5 from three tonight.

(off topic, but we don't have a general-quasi-jazz-related-random-nba-musing thread... sorry)

he'll have to pick it up
MCW has got it on lock still

He's a pretty focused/engaged player. He does a good job filling unoccupied space where rebounds might go. Like JJAS said, his impact is going to depend on how he develops reliable scoring from mid-range and in.

I agree. He is taking the right shots (he had a running floater in the game). Now he needs to hit those. If he can hit those he will be a very, very solid piece. Could you imagine a Parker/Wiggins, Burke and Favors playing good defense and running the floor? Wow.

Yeah, he does a good job getting into space off the pick and roll, but unless he's able to hit shots when he finds that space, the defense is going to continue to take away other options and the roll man, and give Trey those floaters and pullups. Like Gordo, he needs to hit those to be effective.

Right. I trust Burke will get better at making those shots. Mostly because he doesn't look like a complete retard when attempting them like Gordon does.
