What's new

Upcoming for 2020!

I edited my post. No need to call Troutbum out. But All the same, I'm not big on socialising with people who lie, for fun or otherwise. I'm far too gullible a person to keep liars in my life.

After getting to know Trout and even working with him that's just part of his humor. I wouldn't look at it as he's lying as much as he really enjoys ****ing with people.

The dude just got married and looks mad happy. If you had another poker game I'd look forward to going more if he was than wasn't.

He's a good dude - a jackass, but a good dude.

franklin, I get. But Dave? I mean, he wasn’t lying about personal information that was intimate and important in some way. It’s just alts. He just enjoys, I guess, having alts and being silly.

That said, it’s your house and you make the rules.

Besides destroying the bathroom (gawd, it was really that awful) what else did Franklin do besides inviting his friends with guns? He's always been entertaining, but I always leave pretty early too.

I mean, I wasn’t there and I didn’t live in Utah so my perspective is vastly different than anyone native to that state, but the guns was to me an issue. A BIG issue.

Hell yeah it was. It made me hella uncomfortable and uneasy. Franklin said he had no idea the guy was packing though.

It's never a good idea to bring guns to a poker game. Lol

I brought negativity into a thread that should have just been all positive. I really regret that. Not the right way to start the new year as my best self.

I will say that people from jazzfanz.com have been fantastic guests and to be the "worst" amongst them is still pretty good, tbpfhwy.

Against my better judgement I'm going to add a little clarification. Trout did not admit to having alts. Trout claimed to be posters who he is NOT. It bugged me several years ago when Ron Mexico was convinced Trout was Perl Watson and I didn't think it was true (and am now pretty sure it wasn't true) but when after the last game he claimed to be Firegirl I was sort of determined to find out. I sent Firegirl a PM that I worded vaguely so that if I got the right response I would know it was Trout. Well, Firegirl IS NOT Trout, so the response I got was that I was a weird creep.

I'm an exceptionally trusting person. I'm gullible in the sense that I believe the people I socialize with by default. If you tell me something I assume you are like I am, that you are careful about making assertions, that you take your integrity very seriously and that you have good intentions towards the people you let into your life. I am not a young person. I have been betrayed many times in my life. I live my life by a long list of "rules" and one of them is that if I consider a person a friend and they intentionally deceive me (I have several different categories for the types of lies people tell and I can forgive lies of certain types, but others I take as an indication that a person is, essentially, a malicious liar.) I put distance between myself and that person. That is how I've lived my life. It pains me to put Trout into the category of a person that tells malicious lies, but I'm not bending the rules on this. Those lies are red flags for me that I'm dealing with a person who lies for sport. I don't have time for that.

I get having rules, but having exceptions to rules isn't a bad thing either. Trout isn't for everyone, but he's not intentionally doing this to be malicious. He just likes to **** with people and he's consistent about it. When I worked with him he would never tell me his alts and would lead me to think some were him which weren't. It bugged me he wouldn't tell, but that's just who he is. Dude can keep a secret like no one's business. Lastly, Dave has a heart of gold. He's personally helped me a few times at bad moments in my life and I am forever grateful.

That said, I get your POV and support you in whatever, man.

I have some Soul Rex in my fridge right now. I bought 4 and the first one (only had one so far) had floaties. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be "hazy" but I'm never a big fan of floaties. If the rest are the same I'll contact them as I have absolutely never had an issue with their quality before.

Yeah, I couldn't tell ya. I drank it straight out of the can. I've never had an issue with floaties or super hazy beer though. I had some Heady Topper awhile ago and it was murky as ****.

@Gameface, I get your sentiment. I really do. I hate being lied to. I personally don’t consider @TroutBum a liar. He loves to joke around constantly. If he told you he was firegirl, and then you sent a pm, the only thing that would cross his mind is to keep you on the hook. He would absolutely respond with something to make you question your very existence. Jazzfanz is a game to him. He wouldn’t/won’t give me a straight answer on his alts either.
My experience with him in real life is completely different. Granted, we’re not as close as we used to be, but in real life situations, that dude is 100% legit. He helped me through a tough time in my life. I’ve tried to do the same to him. He would absolutely do whatever he could to help you if you needed it. Trout is one of my favorite people on this planet.
At the end of the day, it’s your home, your poker games, your life, and your rules. I love your poker nights and would attend whenever I can.

Put me in the camp that loves Trout in real life and doesn't care for his online personality. He helped me move from SLC to Roy several years ago, and I was just a girl he knew from Jazzfanz. He's a great guy until he gets near a computer.

Lol wut? He claimed to be firegirl. So you sent firegirl a pm...if he is firegirl his response would have been tailored to convince you one way or the other. How does firegirl’s response prove anything?

It didn't have to. Convincing me was the condition to being invited to future poker games. So it was up to Firegirl, if that was a Trout alt, to decide if they wanted to be invited in the future or not. I can say unequivocally, Firegirl is not interested in coming to any of my poker games.

Hazy beer is the current fad. I'm okay with hazy beers, but they aren't my favorite. Floaties, on the other hand, that to me means someone is doing hazy completely wrong. But I don't think floaties is common for Level Crossing.
