I said this before too but none of my guys have or have had major injury issues.

He has Durant, Irving, Oladipo, and Nurkić all with serious injury histories. That’s 3 starters and a backup and a very problematic issue for him imo.

Completely agree but thats a tough thing to quantify in a comp like this. Especially considering it was mentioned during the draft that you have to assume all are healthy next season.

Gasol Igggy and Ibaka would win the old timer's/ way past peak tournament, hands down.

Most don’t care about benches in this. Hell, Fish didnt even bother sending Wes his bench. Lol

Just pointing out that when some on my bench are better than (or at least on par with) his starters, it says something. Derozan is All NBA

I like Wes's team. You've got a nice high-low combination with Harden and Gobert, and you've got good floor spacers with VV, Morris and Ibaka. On defense, you have two 7-footers and two guys who get after it defensively, while Harden just waits to be handed the ball.

I never said assume all are healthy next year. And assuming that for guys who are chronically hurt would be silly.

I think the easiest and most logical way to look at it would be all players are healthy next year, but rank them how you feel their skills will be diminished after injury. For example, Oladipo looked awful the little time he got this year after coming back. But if you think KD won't be able to post up on the elbow and dominate like he's done his entire career you're crazy. His defense will most certainly slip a bit though.

Also, I'm looking at these like 7 game series not an 82 game season. Cant take potential injury into account in a 7 game series.

Wes is smart to play the injury card. The only way he wins is if my guys are in wheel chairs.

I like both teams. During the draft, I personally shied away from folks like Oladipo, because it was hard for me to ascertain how well they would be next year. Durant is a great player, but obviously coming off a tough injury. I have not yet voted, it's that close and I keep going back and forth. Another Heineken might help me see with clarity.
