Utah Jazz = Kansas City Chiefs

Football is stupid.

Baseball is almost as bad.

Philadelphia Flyers fan though, and pretty much any team that is playing The Pens or The Sharks.

Amazing...all this time I thought I was the only Utah Jazz, KC Chiefs fan.

Not only do I agree with everything you pointed out, but I'd add that both teams were at their best when running a conservative/"old school" fundamentally sound, "grind it out" type offenses (Jazz: pick & roll, Chiefs: heavily run based offense)

Also, Christian Okoye was the NFL equivalent of Karl Malone...
and John Stockton was the NBA equivalent of Joe Montana.

I see some similarities, aside from the fact KC won a total of 3 playoff games throughout the 90's. Think we had a little more success in the playoffs than that.

I say no because Kansas City sucks. What a crap, no good team. Only thing equally bad or worse are the Pats, Steelers, Chargers and the hated Raiders.

I would have to disagree in that I can't stand the Chiefs.

But did remind me of similarities of my other favorite teams to the Jazz. The Phins had Shula = Sloan and Marino the obvious comparison would be Stock but with the fiery attitudes and scoring I think more Malone. For baseball the Orioles, Cal Ripken can be compaired to both Stock & Malone all iron men, tough no nonsense, blue collar type players.

Hmmm, I try to go for the underdogs or whoever is on my fantasy team. I choose a player I like and root for the teams they are on. Favorite players as a kid, Vick era Falcons, McNabb (before he started to suck) Eagles, Moss on Vikings, Tomlison and Brees Chargers. This year was Reggie Bush on the Dolphins, Tony Gonzales falcons, and Alex Smith on 49er's. I had a blast watching Steve Smith and CAM Newton on the panthers. Teamwise, SEATTLE is my favorite. Most hated players this year is Tom Brady, Manning brothers, Phillip Rivers, and Orton. Probably explained why I only watched 10 minutes of the superbowl.

Utah = Houston Oliers/ Tennessee Titans
Earl Campbell = Pete Maravich
Karl Malone/John Stockton = Warren Moon
Mark Eaton = Bruce Matthews
Deron Williams = Steve McNair
Carlos Boozer = Eddie George

Packers = Spurs/ Small Markets + Stars (Farve/White = Robinson/Elliot in late 90s/ Rodgers/Woodson = Duncan/Ginobli in 2000s) = Championship Success
