So NBA season is here. Finally! Today the Jazz started their pre-season training camp and the pre-season exhibition games are not far away either.

Here's the schedule we have at this point:

Oct 06, 6:30 pm: Jazz Intrasquad Scrimmage, @EnergySolutions Arena - open to the public
Oct 07, 7:00 pm: Jazz vs Trailbazers, @EnergySolutions Arena

Is John Beilein helping out now? Is it the Trey Burke connection that got him there? Or was it Patrick Beiline?


Either way I guess it's good to have another pair of eyes on the floor.

Patrick is John's son and I thought was brought in to be a shooting coach.

It says they were in attendance, not that they were part of the training session. Both Sloan and Beilein have good reasons/excuses to be there...

Kinda surprised John Beiline had time to come to a Jazz practice though - I thought he would be busy with the college season starting soon.

But I'd bet you that they gave Coach Q their thoughts and observations.

Also some notes from today:

Favors think he can average between 2-3 assists a game, will have one 10 assist game and that he can average 20 & 10. He will be looking for kickouts to Kanter

Kanter says he has been working on corner 3s.

Hayward says he is happy and happy to be in Utah. That he is here to stay and "I’ll lead us to the place we need to go."

I am really excited to hear all this talk about pace of play and transition D and O. With a team this young, fast players (exum) and great slashers (Burks) I have high hopes for some of the guys.

Can't wait to see Exum, Burks and Hayward flying down the court. Throw in players like Hood and Novak and you have that kick out 3 on the wing.

I want to see the Jazz run most teams into the floor. Just run run run.
 
Coach Snyder will definitely get the best out of these guys its just pre-season but the man sounds switch on- We will surprise a lot of teams this year could be close or another repeat of 2003-4 where we won 42 games when no one thought we had a chance (for the record I think we'll win at least 35)
 
Anyone know if the scrimmage will be televised? I see the Cavs, Miami and Minny have had their scrimmages televised on NBA.com.
 
This is sad. The magic is over. Bring on the draft. Sigh.

ICYMI: Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Utah, but McDonald's is not doing its amazing Jazz home gameday McNuggets promotion this season.

Why isn't this thread stickied? Mods are not acting in that matter this close to season when everyone is so excited.

Please sticky this. It is useful for me to check out the sched. I'm sure it would be of great use for many others too.

I think they'll just sticky each game threads as they come on stream. Dont you worry.
