Utah Jazz Select Ace Bailey, Pick 5

Thurl is a LDS member. That is certainly one of the ways to recruit NBA players (and executives!) to like living in Utah but it is somehow underutilized.
I call him Thorough Bailey and then I LOL at my own joke everytime.

K, see you later.

7 years isn't that long when we're on year 4 of a rebuild with barely any direction still

A coda to the Omar Cooper Jr episode?:

(From Tim MacMahon: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/45680758/ace-bailey-impresses-jazz-8-points-summer-debut

The Jazz intended to help ease Bailey's transition to the NBA by having Omar Cooper Jr. -- the son of Bailey's advisor who just finished his career at McNeese State and plans to enter coaching -- serve as an unpaid guest coach during summer league. That plan was called off after the league office contacted the Jazz to raise concerns, sources told ESPN.

From Reddit

"I've lived near or around San Antonio most of my life and you'd be surprised by the number of role players that aren't the Big 3, George Gervin, and David Robinson still live here. George Hill has a big *** ranch outside of town, Antonio Daniels, Bruce Bowen, Antonio Daniels live here, and Alvin Robertson/Bryn Forbes have a fun relationship with local law enforcement."

"A grip of Kings players still stay in Sacramento area. Doug Christie and Brad Miller, and Peja Stojakovic. Vlade Divac as well...Kenny Thomas is still around"
I’m in San Antonio and yeah, other folks still have their homes here. Tony Parker is down the street from me, and hes here right now with some influencer, shooting fireworks and getting the HOA all worked up which I think is hilarious

I like San Antonio. Super old city that you really don’t find outside the east coast. Like it’s not Paris but it has a ton of history being the oldest city west of the Mississippi. I think the Mexican culture and nightlife are really underrated there. Hill country is not far and I’ve enjoyed the restaurant scene too.

Tony Jones was on ESPN700 this morning...he said everything being reported after the draft was real and behind the scenes it was really hard for the Jazz and those first couple of days were really really rocky.

I really hope this is completely over and done and isn't something that's going to linger on throughout his Jazz tenure.

IMO Tony Jones is a complete hack.
