Utah Jazz Summer League Topic

Wallace can get a look most the time, I just never see him hit a shot.

A few of his shots were just plain ugly. Buy he doesn't have a problem putting the ball on the floor and driving. I wasn't paying attention to his defense - mainly studied Pleiss and Lyles.

The goal of summer league isn't to win but that's no excuse to look this bad in these 3 games. Minus Lyles I can't definitively say any one else on the Jazz roster deserves to get paid to play basketball (d-league or euro) although I am happy Threebor is showing range and might be worth a longer look.

Bolomboy I WAS excited when the Jazz drafted him and thought he might look a bit underwhelming in these games but he's been down right disappointing, he should have the one skill of rebounding but the Jazz and him are consistently getting out rebounded, they don't play defense, they don't shoot, they do turn it over a lot but that's not something you want to be good at, oh and they are good at letting the other teams score on them... oh wait that's not a good thing either.

Bolomboy can't get out of his own way. He's pressing too hard and letting every mistake stick with him. You can see it in his body language. Not the same player I saw in college.

Bolomboy simply needs to play defense and box out on every play and good things will happen.

I like the kid...he has good handles and is a very good passer. He reminds me of a less athletic/less explosive Lebron James.

Pleiss did fine. Lyles did OK. Beyond that the team is the bad news bears. It appears all of our second round picks have holes, huge holes in their game. Bolomboy looks totally lost. Wallace can't shoot and Paige just looks like crap. Perhaps the Jazz can suggest they head to Europe like Hanlan. Yesterday Traveon Graham a training camp invitee had a 20 plus point game in Orlando and fromer Jazzman Kevin Murphy scored in double figures and their team is undefeated.
