Even if the Jazz dump Pleiss, Withey, Neto and Johnson, they're at 12 players. It's unlikely they find better options than Withey and Neto in Summer League, and Pleiss is owed $3mm this season (Neto's contract is also guaranteed). Not a great option for fringe prospects.

Wait, I guess Chris Johnson is only partially guaranteed? We could cut him and have one open spot. I'm guessing we cut him before his fully guarantee date and do the 10 day contract thing we do every year.

With Chris Johnson, the Jazz have 16 players. They have to cut someone just to get down to 15.

That's not the point. The players will go to teams with the best shot at having open roster spots. The Jazz have 16 players under contract, with only two non-/partially-guaranteed players. It's not a good option for the players.

I don't think it's a (total) coincidence that the Jazz have just enough cap space to renegotiate Favors' contract up to the max this season.
 
Errbody in SL is getting cut. I figure Mack might get traded, or Pleiss. Our roster is as finite as I think it's ever been
