Sorry, Earl. UGLI baby likes you, but other jazzfanzers don't.

Here it is jazzfanz, the return of Utah Jazz Survivor.

The game is pretty simple. Each round you will vote one player off the team. This will help determine who jazzfanz considers to be the Jazz' best assets.

Things to consider:

Length and terms of contract, player's potential, player's trade value.

For example, Big Al might be a better NBA player than Enes Kanter at this moment, but who is more valuable to the Jazz as an asset?

I love my boy Casserole, but I had to give him the boot. Don't wanna kick off the Judicator/HeavenMurphy just yet

There wont be alot of people on today. Utes fans are hungover from celebrating the win all night and coug fans are staying away from all forms of communication, trying to convince themselves they dont really care. I'll leave the poll up today and tomorrow to give people a chance to vote.

Not hungover and not hiding.
My vote is for Carroll. He doesn't add much and the addition of Mahvelous Mahvin Williams makes him expendable.

lol, do we really already have votes for Jefferson?

I mean, I don't like him on the team either, but he's far from third worst.

Ya but it's not a who's the best player on the team contest.

It's a who would you get rid of from the team if you had to choose someone contest.

Al hurts the future of the team by taking Favors playing time, and despite what people think, I believe he has zero trade value. I'm not sure he could even be traded for a fake 2nd rounder to a team with cap space.

Al is the only guy left that I feel is doing harm to the franchise

my vote is the same as it was last time. carroll. he's not as talented as murphy or evans, and is only still on this team because of some energy and hustle. if things go the way we all hope with hayward, burks, marvin, foye and even murph, then the ideal situation is that carroll is not needed again, ever. that's the definition of "next off the island" in my book.

voting for murphy just seems lazy. he's the guy we're least emotionally invested in, so people vote him off even though he is more skilled than carroll and probably even evans.

can't argue with that logic, but i still say al stays until the top 5 because he also has trade value. even i know that watching al leave for nothing would be a pretty big waste of an asset, and i'm one of the most vocal supporters of the "lets' move on from al" movement.

Totally agree.

Part of me agrees with you, but at the same time, Murphy has proven nothing. Carroll has at least proven to be a decent garbage guy, and has potential to be a long term one.

UGLI baby - please post the list of players that have already been voted off in the initial post.

You guys are going to flip if the Jazz sign Jefferson to an extension similar to the one they gave Memo a few years ago.

I'm sure the Jazz will look to move Al in time for Kanter to take over, but I don't think the jazz are going to let an asset like Al just walk. If they don't get something they want for Al by the trade deadline, look for him to sign an extension worth 2 - 3 years at semi-reasonable numbers like Memo did. Just a prediction.

You have a point Jack. I hope they aren't thinking like that. It's just dumb
