What's new

Utah Jazz VS Cleveland long haired solders of King Charles at 7:00 ON ROOT Sports 1280 AM/ 97.5 FM

Al is no longer the black hole he used to be, and if you would stop riding his *** like a little bitch you might see that!!!

he still is everytime he gets the ball the ballmovement and player movement stagnates.
so what if his assist numbers are up.
the offense stagnates into alfense

So you want him to develop an Al Jefferson like repertoire? :)

What I really want is for Kanter to be a mean mother ****er who goes right at defenders and eats the top of their heads with his elbows, the ball, and ocassionally his chest.

I'd rather he watch Shaq's footwork and learn to control defenders by making them ride on his hip while using long steps to set up powerful dunks, but that's probably a pipe dream for Mini-Shaq. Also, jump hop would look good on you Kanter (and even better on the floor). So would a lot of Boozer baseline and pick and pop.
Pipe dream. Not sure how bumping guys to create separation is the same as pump fakes and spins away from the basket. Kanter was too predictable, and was getting stripped and blocked as a result. Defenders could just sit back and either wait for the spin and trap him on the baseline or wait for the up-and-under and swat his ****. He needed a primary move to the middle; the spin and up-and-under work better as counters.

Also, nice to see Favors get opportunities to score facing the basket. He needs to continue to hit that free throw line/short corner jumper. Dude should be working with Millsap to improve his jab step. It's painful watching him try to score with his back to the basket (although it was an appropriate time to try it with the Jazz up big late tonight).

This is big Al we are talking about. The only thing on offense he didn't do well is get to the foul line! Newsflash!! It's Al he never gets to the line, but he shot 50%, and had 4 assists with 11 rebounds. Al passed well, was the main reason Foye was so good tonight and played within the team system perfectly.

yet favors and kanter outplayed him in far less minutes.
and millsap equalled imho what he did(this is opinion you could argue that jefferson played better)

One takeaway watching this game is that Tristan Thompson struggled to guard Favors more than he struggled to guard Millsap.

Favors can get open looks whenever he wants. He just isn't fully confident yet, even with open looks.

Hence the smiley face.

Might be a pipe dream but Kanter has the speed and strenght to pull it off. Needless to say, he's still really young and relatively basketball dumb so he's going to surprise everyone for a long time with new weapon additions.

It's painful but I see things I like, A LOT. His baseline fade will be unstoppable if he ever perfects it. This shot is unguardable as it is and Favors' athleticism can take it to a new level. He's getting not great but pretty damn good looks elsewhere in the post as well but hasn't refined it enough to make the shots consistently. They're falling off the rim though and this has been really encouraging to me.

We still need a 3rd big in the rotation ... my vote is for Jefferson provided we can resign him for no more than $12 million/yr. Jefferson is doing a good job teaching Kanter those offensive moves.
Kanter won't need a teacher as much as he'll need a team mate that knows how to play winning basketball.

Besides, who do you think will be easier to eventually bench anyway?

Do you consistently post with a ten foot pole up your ***??

Honest question.

Does anyone know what Favors did to his wrist? I counted numerous times he would grab his wrist and looked as if he was pulling on it.

Not sure. Dude looked a lot more comfortable getting up and down the court last night; I imagine his feet were still bothering him up through the Miami game.
