Cheer the guy when he comes in, but the excessive cheering was weird and dumb.
The game was boring thanks to the Suns just refusing to compete at all. The crowd would have been different if the game had been close.

Typically his scoring will offset some of the getting scored on though. That was kind of my point in my other post about how if he gets there same looks he got last night he will usually make a good percentage of them which would offset some of the getting scored on.Neto, Ricky, Joe all scored on him... he was the reason we went from up 3-5 to up to 15-20. He was really, really bad.
Agreed.Cheer the guy when he comes in, but the excessive cheering was weird and dumb.
I would hope. I'm not certain though. The game was boring thanks to the Suns just refusing to compete at all. The crowd would have been different if the game had been close.
Well Nurkic just broke his leg so there is that.
What does white have to do with anything?Star players who actually play for the team will never get as much love as a white Mormon choir boy, trash can of a basketball player, on the opposing team.
Might be the best post of your JFC career. Props.I’m a Jazz Fan and BYU fan.
There, stage set.
I hated the absurd cheering for Jimmer tonight. Cheered when he got on the floor, when he touched the ball, when he shot, when he picked his nose. Groaned at every miss.
I wish Jimmer every success in the NBA and life, but not against the Jazz even if it’s a blowout.
Cheer for the Jazz. The crowd did cheer for the Jazz but I didn’t hear any groaning when our players missed. It was pretty over the top imo.
It also seemed an objective of the Jazz, part of the game plan, was to shut down Jimmer. Bump him, ride him, and don’t let him score... more than normal and more than any other PHO player not named Booker.
I liked it and I get it. I’d do the same if my home crowd was cheering for someone on the other team.
Good luck Jimmer. Dear Jazz fans, please don’t psycho cheer for opposing players, but the Booker respect cheer when he sat was pretty cool and classy.
The end.
I was super annoyed at first. I'm calming down now... a little. It was all in good fun and even I as Ute fan was cheering for him. I couldn't care less about Jimmer. I meant absolutely no harm and was just having fun as the game was well over and that one measly bucket wasnt going to hurt a morsel. The players took this as some malicious act. Nobody meant any harm.
Gobert (and Mitchell in a more underhanded way) both commented how he got cheered louder than the team did, Rudy set a dunk record and the crowd went way more crazy for Jimmer's single basket. Rudy even said it must be a religion thing, I think it's a bad look and certainly doesn't appear to have endeared any of our players to our crowd. What does white have to do with anything?
This team gets so much love.
DM and Gobert get the most, but the rest of the team is adored here. It doesn't matter the "color". Ingles gets less or the same, but I wouldn't say more love than DM and if he did it has nothing do do with color, it's because he's hilarious and awesome.
Go ahead and hate Jimmer. He was fun to watch in college, was voted the top national college player, even NBA stars were chiming in on Jimmer. It was tons of fun. This is just a bunch of fans living in the past and reliving a part of what it was like back then. I can understand rooting for him and going back in time, a bit. It's definitely bigger than I thought it would be, but I don't think it was a knock on our players or that it will mean less support for our team at all even if they felt like it was. I thought it was over the top, but I also think you were with this post.
