Utah Jazz vs Toronto Raptors Game Thread

Lots of problems.

I see too many drives into a crowded paint and then we bricked tons of 3s.

Raptors were on fire as well. Gasol couldnt miss.

All I know is we have a better record through 20 games than we ever did with Crowder and Favors and we're not even playing near as well as we're capable of yet, especially offensively. This teams ceiling is much higher than it was with Favors and Crowder.
higher offensive celling you mean back to back 40 pt scoring performances at the half?

if you look at the numbers you would literally see zero improvement on offense with below the league's average numbers across the board. our offense has always been centered around knocking down open shots but when our open jumpers aren't falling (which happens a lot thanks to all the streaky shooters that DL've managed to acquire), there is no one outside of Donovan who can consistently drive inside with the hope of making something happen. and with Donovan's recent struggle in the paint, there is no just reliable inside threat on this team due to the severe length and physical limitation, especially after Favs' departure.

This leads to everyone's concern from this off-season: we basically took a big step backward defensively without much of an upgrade on offense. we are trying to build a jumpshooting team with this small/physically limited lineup but without great shooters like Paul, Harden, Klay or Steph. Conley's "deadly" floaters or Bojan's 3-pt barrage may bring us some sparks occasionally, just not enough to cover for those limitations.

Talk to me after the season when we finish with our best record since the D-Will/Boozer days.
