I knew the team was feeling shaky lately after a hot start, but that really puts it in perspective. This game certainly marks the low spot of a downward trend since the beginning of December.

If there was any silver lining it was Jefferson looking more confident and integrated and Dwill shooting well.
 
This season is eerily like 2006-2007. We jumped out to a hot start then, too, and pretty much played .500 ball from December until the playoffs.

We can't bust heads like we used to. But we have our ways. One trick is to tell stories that don't go anywhere. Like the time I caught the ferry to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for m'shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt. Which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. Gimme five bees for a quarter, you'd say. Now where was I - Oh yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

I think all of us really need to adjust our expectations. I was excited thinking Raja would be an adequate replacement for Matthews, CJ could be a decent 6th man and AK would flourish as a starter. None of that has transpired. And I wouldn't call Hayward a "bust," but he's certainly not able to contribute much right away. Millsap and Jefferson have been o.k., but there's no one behind them. There's a reason Utah could sign Elson; he's just not that good. Hell, he may not even be as good as Collins.

KOC needs to make a move. When you have 2 ineffective starters for half the games (Bell and AK) and a wildly incosistent 6th man (with no options behind him except the 2 mini-mites), you're going to lose 50% of the time.

CAREFUL!! You spoke ill of CJ and the trolls will now hunt you down to make your life miserable until you admit he is "solid and productive" and that we need look no further for a wing, since none are better. You are now a HATER since you expressed the slightest displeasure with CJ's play. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!!


That said, I think Sap had a bigger effect on this game and the fact that Bell and AK kinda phoned it in.

A loss to the freaking Wizards after a couple days off? Really? I mean, the god damn WIZARDS? So what are the excuses for this loss? Un-freaking-believable.
 
Deron Blames Jefferson??

I only caught a few minutes of the post game show on 1320, but it sounded like Deron accussed Big Al of being lazy and not smart enough to learn the plays. Did anyone catch what Deron actually said?
