Utah mentioned as a possible destination for Pierce

Unless we are getting a boatload of draft picks and Rondo and I don't want anything to do with Pierce's 15.3 mil contract next year. And there is no chance that Pierce will be traded by the Celtics. He was drafted by the Celtics and wants to retire as a Celtic.

Unless he has a no-trade clause, there's definitely a chance.

This is written by someone in Boston so we obviously have something they're interested in. I'm not sure I want Paul, however, Rondo would be huge! Hopefully they keep losing and decide to blow this thing up.
It's a blogger, not a credible source. Why in the hell would Utah want Pierce? Jazz philosophy when spending major dollars is to bring in younger players that have still have upside or several more good years, not declining veterans. Jazz may fill in with cheap vets (like Foye, Tinsely, J. Howard last season), but those are guys brought in on the cheap. The ONLY way I see Pierce in Utah is if it's a trade for Marvin Williams' contract. But the salaries would't match. Then you'd need to add Millsap. Would Williams + Millsap be worth Pierce?

Maybe I should post a blog and say that Utah is a possible destination for Kobe Bryant. Hey, why not...Lakers are not going to make the playoffs and Bryant wants to play for a winner.

Do it and post the link here.

^ The Lakers team and the Celtics team are much different dynamics. I think this blog has some traction, just my opinion.
url didn't work. Al and Mo for Paul and Rondo.

And we give them the better of GS or our pick.

Have you ever thought taking Paul is the price you pay in order to get Rondo/a different star with plenty of years left???

Here's the paragraph that mentions Utah:
"Teams who are being mentioned as possible destinations for Pierce include the Washington Wizards and Utah Jazz, although it is not known if Danny Ainge would deal Pierce to a team as bad as the Wizards, or what he would be asking for his franchise player."

So the blogger mentions 2 teams then quickly discounts one of them. And he has no idea what players Ainge might want in return. Yep, sounds like this guy really knows his stuff. Instead of BSB (Boston Super Blog), this should be called Blowing Smoke Big-Time.

I'm sure whoever the source is feels it would be an even swap to take on Burks, Favors and Hayward for Pierce.

We should probably give them GS pick too. I bet they'd sweeten the deal with Fab or Sully!

If we only talked about things that had real significance, there would be nothing to talk about! The Millsap rumors are probably bowing smoke as well. I'm apologize for bringing this up, go somewhere else if you don't want to chime in. Carry on

Only way Jazz would want Pierce is if it guarantees a championship this year.
It would have to be a 100% certainty for Jazz.
Pierce days are numbered.
This may be his last year.
There is no way Pierce is the piece that get's Jazz a championship this year.
No way Jazz do this trade.
