Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

Yeah, detroit has a decent to good chance of making the playoffs and seem intent on that. So they just traded their star player Blake Griffin for basically Tobias Harris and a non lottery pick.

That might be one of the worst trades for an all-star level player ever. Especially one that in under contract for 4 more years. I am guessing Griffin demanded a trade and LAC worked fast before too much leaked and hurt his trade value.

Indy got more for PG13 and was thought of as a 1 year rental.

Clippers' fans' discussion seems to focus on Blake's personality becoming so toxic that they wanted him out. Who knows what's really true, though.

I don't think that. Detroit, like it's been reported time and time again, wants to win now. They have a new arena that's empty. I could see Detroit throwing us an unprotected future 1st and Stanley Johnson out there for Hood. He actually fits that roster with Drummond and Griffen very well.
They can't afford to sign Hood next year genius. Detroit isnt paying buke luxury tax dollars for a fanbase that only fills up half the arena.

@Cy if we trade Hood to LAC we better be getting Patrick MF Beverley.

Hey Cy, you don't know anything. I speculate but I'm also not a prick.

Detroit is not done. And if they were as scared as you about finances, they wouldn't have just gotten Blake Griffen.

I repeat, you know nothing.

Clippers are also motivated to miss the playoffs since Celtics own their pick if they make the playoffs this year or next year. After that its just a 2nd.

Good point, forgot that. Makes sense to tank out unless you're in the top 5-6

I know Detroit has a ton of money on the books and they dont make a lot of money as a franchise. The idea of them wanting a volatile RFA contract that could get paid a huge amount of money and cost them exponentially more in tax money, is quite frankly stupid. They also no longer have first round picks to trade. Detroit is no longer on the Jazz's trade radar. Forget about them.
