Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

Kevin O'Connor from The Ringer said the Pistons are targeting Hood for Stanley Johnson and a couple other publications have said it too...this can't be true, right? Or at the very least, it's SVG leaking that ****.

Puts on til foil hat

Utah/Orlando swap RFAs they don't want to pay

I have completely ruptured both of my achilles tendons. If we lost out on Niko because of DMC's ruptured achilles, I'd have to say I'm cursed.

• Dario Saric
• Otto Porter Jr.
• Niko Mirotic
• Evan Fournier
• Bazemore/Ilyasova/Belinelli
• Middleton/Parker
• Surprise move that is as shocking as the Pistons getting Blake Griffin

Lots of options that the Jazz could (should) be looking at. No need to panic and overpay for a guy. Go get a deal that you’re happy with. Looks like Blake Griffin was the first domino to fall. Might get a little crazy here pretty soon.
Why does Saric keep getting mentioned around here? I've missed both the reason and the answers. He seems like a great fit in Philly.

There's no way NOLA can keep AD, Boogie, and Niko unless they pay tax out the ***. Jazz will be there in the off-season to get Niko for less than he's going for now... after they've gotten a better draft pick this year.
actually, I just wanted to write the most Cappy_Smurf post evar.

Only because I was reading an article somewhere that they might quietly have him on the trading block in an effort to sell high and put a different type of talent around Simmons/Embiid. Can’t remember where I came across it. I think it was a little blurb from a Pennsylvania local newspaper. I’ll see if I can find it.

As far as I know, it's really raw speculation. He'd be a great fit with the Jazz (stretchy + playmaking), and I know there has been some discussion about him being a potentially moveable piece for Philly, particularly because of Ben Simmons. One of the big draws with Saric is his playmaking ability, and that's pushed to the margins a bit by Ben Simmons. Could be they can trade him to get someone with skills they are in greater need of.

trade hood favors for gordon and fornier.

why would magic do this? cuz they are the magic. they always do some weird trade. it's our turn now!

Speaking of Aaron Gordon, just a reminder for those who are against tanking when we aren't going to the make the playoffs anways..one spot means the difference between Aaron Gordon and Dante Exum.

Jazz loved Stanley in the draft (allegedly).

Pistons also have Henry Ellenson who could be a stretch 4. They don't play him much, maybe because he is not that good.

Yeah, we tanked that year, too.

THat's a big assumption the Jazz would have taken Gordon over Exum.
