Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

The Lakers traded both Nance and Clarkson, took IT off of Cleveland's hands, and only got a late first-round pick for it. Not exactly evidence that first-round picks were available. The key piece in that trade is Nance.

I like this draft, but getting a rookie with the 25th or 26th pick isn't better than Jae Crowder playing the 4 in Quin's system.

Make the thread.

Most of the good ones aren't going to want to come to us though. Probably want to go to a contender.

True. Unless DL was really high on like Vonleh (maybe gonna be waived), Malachi Richardson, or Caboclo. I'll make the thread when more people get bought out. Probably Belinelli, Ilyasova, and some others.

You guys are really going to like Jae Crowder. I'm reading up on him right now and I love his attitude. Perfect for our culture.

Damn, you're salty today. Lol

I also beleive that Lakers/Cavs deal is dodgy. It makes no sense why they got that 1st and as mentioned by someone earlier, if they use that 1st to get off Deng ill scream bloody murder!

I'm elated that we kept Favors, who I like, and got rid of Hood, who I don't like, while adding another player I like in Crowder - on a cheap *** contract too. Lindsey is a genius.

The key peice is Clarksons Salary.

You shouldnt be able to get off $26M over 2 yrs and get a 1st and only take back expirings.

Most of us think we need to add an asset to move Burks. Well Clarkson is Burks with an extra year and the Lakers moved him while taking on no salary and getting a 1st.

How? Nance aint worth much.
