Utah's long journey to relevance

I loooooooooove Bender from what I've seen. If the 4th pick comes up and he still hasn't been taken, would you trade the 10th pick, Burks, Burke and a future 1st rounder (2017 top 15 protected...) to move up to get him?

Exum-Neto
Hood
Hayward-Ingles
Favors-Lyles
Gobert-Bender-Withey

That makes us awful thin on the wings though.

Absolutely not, that's an overpay, as rare as he is, he's not worth paying that sort of premium for, he's not Porzingis. Bender is more ready for minutes at SF than C too, his lateral quickness in a defensive stance on the perimeter is very impressive.

I feel the same but there's no way we pull off that trade with just Burke or just Burks I don't think. And again, keep in mind, those restrictions are pretty tight on the 1st.

As far as Bender, if he's that quick (and can hit the 3), I want him playing the 4 or 5. He's the stretch 4 or stretch 5 we need. Imagine a lineup with Exum, Hood, Hayward, Lyles and Bender. Or Bender at the 4 and Gobert or Favors at the 5. That's somse studly shooting out there.

This teams fine. We at full health are a top 4/5 team in the west this year. Next year we and a better bench and some development and see where we are at. My guess is top 3. We have plenty of cap space to resign our players. We have been missing our starting of all season. We have have been missing 4 of our best 7 players for a significant time. Look how much better we are with favors back. If a good trade comes in that makes us better great. But no reason to bail on this team we have. All of our core players are going to get better.
