I spoke with Doman face to face about this about a month ago. He was very political (especially talking about Anae) but it is obvious he is ready for his shot. And his comments make it seem like a move is coming (I brought this up about a month ago). He has turned down offers elsewhere and I think that's because he knew he would eventually get his shot. He is a great QB coach but it remains to be seen if he can be a great OC. However, knowing a little about how Anae does things it would not be hard to improve on that. I don't know that Doman gives up coaching the QBs though. That is his bread and butter. I would be surprised and dissappointed if Doman isn't the next OC. In fact, I'd say BYU success next year rides heavily on it.
The WRs need serious work. There are some very basic things they are not doing. While the talent isn't top shelf and never will be there is plenty there to have success.
Chad Lewis would be a great fit to work with those young TEs. I've coached with him a few times and he definitely has what it takes.
Speaking of Anae, when he became OC is when the Poly Pipeline took a severe downturn (especially out of Kahuku). He struggles with social skills.
