Will it really matter though? You guys are F'd in the A for the foreseeable future thanks to your QB situation.
It's not all that bad.
This year, the QB situation was pretty bad. But next year Chase Hansen and Travis Wilson are both way better than Jon Hays. And if Jordan Wynn ever plays again he's way better than Hays too. In addition to that, Jon Hays is also a whole lot better than he was at the start of the season.
Remember, Jon Hays came into this season barely 1 step above a true freshman (and not even a very talented one). He had never taken a D1 snap. He practiced with the second unit. He was suddenly thrown into the lineup with the starters in the middle of a game. Heck of a way to start your college career. The next week, in his first ever start, the Utes got blown out against Arizona State.
Of course he started out pretty bad under those circumstances. He got better and better every week though. And although he is still a crappy QB and should be no better than 3rd string (at best), he is a whole lot better today than he was against Washington, Arizona State, and Cal. I honestly think if Utah had a decent OC, Hays would have looked like a decent QB later in the season.
I'm not saying the guy would have been all conference, NFL caliber, or anything remotely close. But I think he would have at least looked decent and not completely horrible.
So I don't think our QB situation is that bad at all. It's not like USC's QB situation. But it's still pretty nice. 2 highly touted freshmen coming in, injury prone but capable when healthy Wynn, and the improving with experience Hays.
All in all, next year's QB situation is much, MUCH better than this year's QB situation. And the RB and WR situations are about as good as it gets.
