Utes 2011 Football Discussion

Nice.

You sure he will be better than White though? White was pretty dang good.
What were the injury issues by the way?

You didn't ask if they were bringing in someone better than White, just who projected to be better. White was really good and better than expected, but don't forget that he was not projected to be a starter when he committed to The U. He exceeded any expectations and won the starting job, but York rates as a better recruit.

York is coming off a knee injury, which is scary, but if he heals up, he could give the Utes a monster backfield.

And with a monster backfield, they can go undefeated....

Bwahaha, it never ends...

So, which is it, undefeated or two losses? Either way, I'll jump all over this one. There is NO WAY Utah goes undefeated next year, and I'd be willing to drop $25.00 on Utah losing AT LEAST two games. (BYU is a given, and the rest of those games are just as likely losses as wins) I'd say Utah has a better chance of losing all of their games than winning all but two.
You pick the 3 games you think they will lose, and I'll happily bet they win at least 1 of them.

As for them going undefeated, lets see who the OC is before we go there. I clearly stated that I couldn't see them losing more than 2 games, and possibly go undefeated if they fix the offense. If you disagree, pick your 3 games and we'll bet. And we can revisit the undefeated after I find out if the offense is fixed or not.

Like I said, even the haters will have a hard time going on record and predicting more than 2 of those games as losses. And this is a Pac 12 schedule we're talking about here, not a WAC schedule.

Typical.

Even though I'm pretty much saying they'll go undefeated, and at most, will only lose two games, I'm too big of a coward to just flat out bet. I'm going to wait until I get all of the information about everything. On top of that, I'm not satisfied with giving you a bet that they'll lose two games, I'm going to make it three. I'm also going to make you choose the losses -- you know, to make the odds more in my favor. I'm also not going to flat out make any predictions, because you know, it's easier to go back and say, "I NEVER said that they'd go undefeated!" if I keep myself as vague as possible; which also allows me to still say, "Ha, told you we'd go undefeated!" if the impossible should happen."

I never learn.

I never learn.
Well you obviously never learned to comprehend what you read, lol. Let me quote from my original post:

All jokes aside, looking at that schedule I don't see how Utah loses more than 2 regular season games (if that). And if the offense gets itself together, Utah has a real shot at going undefeated next season (at least in the regular season). It's pretty early and all, but I bet even the haters will find a hard time going on record and predicting more than 2 of these games as losses:

So, like I said, if you disagree, pick your 3 games (I said more than 2) and we'll bet. And if you only want to bet on them going undefeated, then we can revisit that after we know how the offense is going to look.

Like I said, even the haters will have a hard time going on record and predicting more than 2 of those games as losses. Clearly, that rings true. And this is a Pac 12 schedule we're talking about here, not a WAC schedule.

Now haters, you can go ahead and point out that I said clearly. The content of my post is spot on, so lets point out that I said clearly and hope some retard finds it humorous.

Anyone here want to play for Utah Basketball? Maybe you played a bit in HS? Here's your chance to live your dream and play Div I! Remember folks, you'll even have a chance to play against real Pac-12 competition! Salty, you got a killer crossover dribble, don't you?

SALT LAKE CITY — Injuries have left the Utah Utes a bit shorthanded in practice. As such, head coach Larry Krystkowiak said the staff will probably hold tryouts when school starts next week.

"I'm not sure there's a couple of guys in the student body that wouldn't come on over and lend some help. When we're beat up we need some more bodies to practice," Krystkowiak said. "Utah's a pretty good basketball state, I've got to imagine there's some good hoopers on intramural programs running around."

Wow, for a split second there I thought he said "some good hoppers". <shudder>

Man, we all know there is no bigger Ute fan than me... But I'm pretty sure there are tons of people who never played in high school who could improve that team. Utah basketball sucks right now.

Sadly, holding tryouts would probably actually improve the team.

Look, I obviously don't know the team as well as you do, Salty, so tell you what...since you've got the Utes going at least 10-2 next year, I'll give YOU the advantage and let you pick 10 games they'll win. If they lose one of those ten, I win.

$100?
