We can only hope.I think Foye and DMC are back for sure. I think they will of course talk to Paul and Al, but mostly to see if they can get a sign and trade done for trade exceptions, a la the Boozer trade. Al is not coming back, IMO. I think that's been more than hinted at recently. I don't know about Paul. I don't think he's willing to take a backup role again. So I think they are referring to at least trying to get something in return and not just let them walk for nothing.
Relax Core4. I think you are overreacting a bit here. Just because they talk to them does not mean they are looking to bring them back. They could be looking at S and T's or just gauging value. No, Lindsey mentioned the phrase "Bird rights" FA's. That doesn't mean Foye or Tinsely or Mo or DeMarre. That means they will be trying to negotiate with Al or Paul (or both). That is not overdramatic given the train wreck of an offense we've seen the past two seasons.
Thanks. Yea it seems stupid. At least I'll be around when they can sign. Will be out of town away from internet on the 1st.July 1st is when talks can begin, but no deals can actually be signed until July 10th. I still have no idea why they have that silly 10-day period.
Everybody is entitled to a freak out once in a while.Core4, change your name to jazzspazz

Take a chill pill, pal. The Jazz have to sign somebody and all FA's could be defined as veterans, technically speaking.Aw, HELL NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
LIndsey mentioned getting back around to the players that the jazz hold the Bird rights to. Corbin also talked about the Jazz bringing in vets. Have to listen to the press conference again, but it certainly sounds like the Jazz are not going to throw the youngsters out there and, in so doing, set themselves up for a top 5-7 pick. DAMN! This is EXACTLY what the next step HAS to be. With this current group and bringing back any vets, the Jazz can again compete for that 4th spot in the West in 2-3 years, have home court for a round, then get flushed out. Utah STILL needs a franchise player. And they could get one next season. I swear, I will STOP being a Jazz fan if they bring back Al. I'll even be on the edge watching Foye chucking up 3's while Burks wastes away on the bench.
After being THRILLED last night, I feel like someone has now doused me with cold water.
