I reckon this deserves a separate title.

My favorite so far is Gothic 3. Nah, of course I have a lot more in mind but don't wanna spoil everything.

So what about you guys?

Here is a making of video of the Gothic 3 game. The composer tells some stuff about the composing process. He speaks in German so Rev and Log are free to watch without the subtitles.

Truly epic stuff.

Oh man. I can think of so much good stuff that I don't know quite where to begin.

I guess I'll start with some stuff that I've posted here in other threads previously.

This is the ending credits music for Journey (PS3/PS4). The Journey OST by composer Austin Wintory was the first video game soundtrack to be nominated for a Grammy. Most of the music is instrumental, but this song features vocals by Lisbeth Scott, with lyrics pulled from myths and historical events in their original languages--French, Latin, Greek, and Japanese.

From the recently released Rocket League (PC/PS4), featuring vocals by Avianna Acid.

Maiden Astrea's theme from Demon's Souls (PS3), undoubtedly the most haunting music from From Software's Souls series.

The English version of the title theme for Ni No Kuni (PS3), sung by boy soprano Archie Buchanan.

Well I think that's it for now. I may post more later (maybe more old-school ones...).

I'm a sucker for video game music. Y'all should play Ori and the Blind Forest. One of the prettiest games I've ever seen/heard.

This thread is reminding me that I need to get my life together and finally finish Okami (freaking school, smh)

Link, it is I, Sahasrahla... I am communicating to you across the void through telepathy... The place where you now stand was the Golden Land, but evil power turned it into the Dark World. The wizard has broken the wise men's seal and opened a gate to link the worlds at Hyrule Castle. In order to save this half of the world, the Light World, you must win back the Golden Power. You must also rescue the seven maidens who Agahnim sent to Dark World. As members of the blood-line of the seven wise men, they have the power that will help you. The maidens are locked in hidden dungeons full of evil creatures and dangerous traps. The Palace of Darkness should be your first goal in this world! Link, I can rely on only you. Please make this old man's wishes come true, I beg of you!

cues awesome music

maybe this is from nostalgia. I will never forget hearing this music for the first time when I was a wee one. My goodness. Goosebumps ALL over.

My favorite song from the sleeper hit Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii).

I beat this game a few weeks ago, and I'm still going through RPG withdrawals.

I didn't end up playin' this one until I was at least 24. Such a good game.

I never actually beat it... got like 60 hours in. Good lord that thing is long. Still enjoyed the hell out of myself, though. My brother finished the whole thing, got really obsessed with it.

I'm looking forward to the sequel. It's out in Japan already, will be out here in early December.

And from what may be the greatest side-scrolling beat 'em up ever, Streets of Rage 2...

This is my favorite song from Hotline Miami (PC/PS3/PS4/VITA).

This is old school arcade music. Only it is not MIDI. ... Hmm. Now reading a bit into it, it is inspired by 80's culture so I should definitely play it.
