What is being discussed is taking even more from them by a gov that has shown a disturbing lack of transparency, fiscal responsibility and effective results.

For me it is putting the horse before the cart. Before we throw them more money that I feel they will waste we need to clean the mess to know where we stand.

If that happened I'd be open to more taxes.

That's where bernie comes in.

I don't know if he would fix things but he seems to want to which is better than most other politicians

You could ask him again. Instead of making him go back to the number and then try to figure out what it is you want from him.

If you really want an answer then the best way, imo, would be to say "hey dalamon what is your favorite movie" rather than saying hey dalamon I left a post back on page three that asks a question that I want the answer to, will you go find that post and then answer the question?

Based on what I have read and seen of his tax proposals they are not fair. Fair would be equal %s and that's not happening under his plans.

I guess I wonder why anyone would be against heavy taxes for the rich. Are people worried about the rich being able to pay their bills and feed their families?

Never said I was. People just see what they wanna see in here, waving their poms poms for Bernie, just like people did eight years ago for Obama. It's pathetic really. But yeah, Bernie is the savior. A guy who's pretty much never worked a real day in his life. Unles politics is a real job. Laughable.

I'm not an expert by any means, but when I hear "loopholes" I think people are way oversimplifying. Most "loopholes" require that the person or company use their money in a more productive, mutually beneficial way and in using their money in a way our government desires they get a reduction in their tax.

So close loopholes and don't provide incentives for people with money to use their money in a way that benefits society as a whole. Just take the money and do what we want with it. Maybe that's better, but I'm sure it's complicated enough that no one can really know.

No, no, no, you're being too logical. Let's say we close some of these loopholes that send jobs overseas. Yeah, we'll force the companies to keep jobs here, in 'Murica. Yeah, that'll work. Ya know, because CEO's don't have to answer to anyone, namely not a Board of Directors or shareholders...and when the stock price plummets because profits are drastically down because they've had to pay their own in North Carolina 20x what those in China were making, yeah, I'm sure that'll work out just fine and dandy. There won't be massive layoffs or anything to hedge the losses. But yeah, these loopholes are just so simple. Bernie will solve everything.

It would certainly be fairer than taxing them disproportionally. In no way is taxing them so much more fair to me. At all. You disagree than fine. I don't see it.

I'm not seeing how "trickle down" conservative economics are effective. The rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer, and the middle class is struggling.

I know little of economics, but I see what is happening to the people in my little part of the world.
