That would be incredibly stupid and has virtually zero chance of happening.

I will still set the over/under at 4/100M for him this offseason. I also think the Jazz should approach him as early as possible to get the negotiation started to help repair some of the relationship here. If they send him out to the market I can see a 3+1 that limits his trade value and limits the long term upside of a deal.

I’m pretty sure (reading tea leaves) we offered him around 20M/year and his camp wanted 30M/year. A 50M difference over the entire contract.

I think a 25M/year is a likely landing spot.

Absolutely no chance a team will just hand him a big multiyear deal after a serious shoulder injury without seeing him play.

Shoulders can be extremely tricky, particularly for post bangers. This may well be a career altering injury for Walker.

Really curious as to what the Jazz do in the short term. No way in ****ing hell Nurkic's body can hold up, even as a 25 MPG type of starter, for a full season.

Jazz will be forced to play Flip at the 5, which they seemingly dont want to do all that much of. Got to think they sign Bamba at some point.

Obviously the Jazz have to sign him to a long-term contract to salvage his trade value, but I can't imagine either side actually wants to continue on this partnership. I would guess we see Kessler push for a sign-and-trade.
