Walker Kessler out for the year

If this keeps the tank alive, lets our youngsters develop in a no win/low pressure environment, and keeps him affordable for his next contract this is a great thing for the team.

I do get that it sucks for him, but he’s a really good player and I think he’s gonna be fine healthwise. He’s gonna make that money anyway.

I looked at the Northwestern U Ortho website and it looks like a three month recovery period after the surgery and then physical therapy can begin. This almost sounds like Tay Henny a year ago.

Well he ends the season shooting 75% from 3.

This also guarantees the tank. Hard to see us not keeping our pick, which is good. Also guarantees us last place in defense again.

I feel pretty bad for him. He was having a huge season, but he'll be back with a better team around him. Although I do know a few people who have had this surgery and the shoulder never really recovered all the way. It also severely limits his training for awhile.

I think with this injury news I would like to see more Hendricks at the 5. He's bulked up enough to hang with most 5s, and he's looked much better near the basket this year vs on the perimeter.

I'm not sure if that is the best thing for him or us long term, but at least at can experiment.

I think playing the 5 is great for him because it force feeds him more defensive reps. You can play defense so many different wats and give him experience that would benefit him any defensive role. It would also require him to stay more alert and toughen up which is also something he has do no matter what his defensive role is.

The way I see it, we have 48 minutes available at C that could go to prospects. Nurk/Love can play if Hardy insists….but ideally I think we get some Hendricks+Flip at the 4/5 and also get another big prospect on roster to play minutes. We’re a full roster now, but once buyouts/trades happen I think we should start the revolving door of GLeague centers to hopefully find one that sticks.

Walker's family already very wealthy. He will still make over 100 million for his career
Alright.. you have a pending extension at your job that pays you somewhere between $100,000,000 and $150,000,000 over the next 4 years pending negotiations. The negotiations never happen.

Then you get workers comp for an on the job injury. Now you have an expiring contract and no guarantee of anything. If the surgery goes wrong or any number of hypotheticals occur then you COULD end up with a 50% pay cut...

You will be pissed.

Having said that, I would be thrilled with a 1 million dollar contract.

Bitch what marketable skills have you got that anyone is going to pay 1 million dollars for? Who do you think you are Hearsky's mum? Not only takes seven digits but is more than worth seven digits.

Pay you a million dollars, get a grip.

I suspect this is a very different injury for the average person than it is for an NBA big man.

I mean Walker's day job involves all the things you probably shouldn't be doing on a surgically repaired shoulder. Massive hits coming out of nowhere, people yanking your arm, reaching straight up (a position where the shoulder is at its most vulnerable) for rebounds, etc...

Walker is also going to have medical care like the average person is not going to have access to, not to mention that rehabilitation will be his entire job.

I cant tell if your tone is jovial or not. But rubbosh knows best. I guess I should just give up now and sell my body to the streets.

Look its honest work, but there can be too much of it. Without bragging about myself being a long distance man, my two minutes with Hearsky's mum generally include, pants off, in, out and a post coital cigarette That's what the ladies expect, and they respect it. You don't want to over deliver, get weighed down with any of that continental nonsense, short, sharp and to the point. An approach to be appreciated in any walk of life.

I'm crying so many tears right now for Walker's wallet
