Sure, but he will never be Rudy's size.
Rudy does have a better wingspan but Kessler seems to get off of the ground better.

the fact dok is averaging 18, 16 and 4 on 83% FGs (better than kessler in everything but blocks) should show anybody how useful per 36 numbers are for people who don't play anywhere near 36 minutes.
don't get me wrong. i like kessler, i like what he's done as a rookie and i was bullish on him coming out of auburn. but per 36 numbers for somebody who only plays 14 minutes just don't paint the most accurate picture.
This. For per 36 you have to just ignore anyone who played in fewer than half the available games. But we are far enough in to start making some conclusions about players based on stats like these, and they all point to the need to play Kessler more.Come on man. Dok’s 20 mins in 5 games of blowout time is nowhere near the same.
I have no doubts Kessler would average a double-double with a couple blocks per game if he was getting 30+ minutes.
Would love to see Dok get some actually run. I get that we didnt make the investment in keeping him long-term though so I doubt that happens until we really turn the tank on and play the deep bench players.the fact dok is averaging 18, 16 and 4 on 83% FGs (better than kessler in everything but blocks) should show anybody how useful per 36 numbers are for people who don't play anywhere near 36 minutes.

of course it's not the same. that goes without saying. i'm simply illustrating a point. per 36 falls short whether the player is playing 14 minutes a game or 2 minutes a game.Come on man. Dok’s 20 mins in 5 games of blowout time is nowhere near the same.

He averaged 10 and 8 in 20 minutes a game last March. Per 36, that's about 18 and 16, tbh. so increase the sample, his production is about the same.I don’t dude is a fouling machine.

2.8 fouls per game. that's about 4 fouls if he were playing 30 minutes. and it's a double double.
Based on what sample size? I haven't even really seen him play in the nba.I don’t dude is a fouling machine.
Kessler is averaging a similar number of fouls per game if he were to get a lot more minutes fwiw.Yes and averaging 4.2 fouls per game would be second in the entire league behind Olynyk.
