Warriors and Jazz Mega Trade

Anyone find a good B. Rush highlight reel? Also any reports on where he is in his recovery or if he will ever be the same as he was before?

2011 was his best year in the NBA. A second ACL is usually bad news for a player that relies on athleticism but shouldn't effect Rush, whose offensive game is 80% reliant on jumpers.

I am glad jack and Carl left but I am confident with all the cap they now have they will sign guys like Elton brand and beno udrih to round out their bench.

went threw the posts and cant find my answer can some body tell me how many second round picks the jazz got in this deal? I hear several. thanks have a nice day.

The trib guys are reporting that it is 3 second round picks. Have not seen years, other than what PKM said earlier about them being 14 and 17

yeah but that still counts towards tax right

not sure how much money their owner wants to spend

especially with how much tax hurts if you go into it for consecutiv eyears

If I understood correctly, we also threw in trade exceptions - plural - as part of this deal as well. But I could be wrong.

You can't 'give' trade exceptions. Trade exceptions are created when a team trades out more salary than they bring back. Exceptions apply to the salaries of individual players and cannot be combined for use in future transactions (so the Warriors have trade exceptions for $4, million, $9 million and ~$11 million, not ~$24 million). You can't use trade exceptions to sign players, only to absorb salary in a trade.

Also, the Warriors are sitting right at the cap now and I believe only have their bi-annual exception and no mid-level exception since they were below the cap and aren't granted a full mid-level under that circumstance. They can also sign minimum contract players but that should be it. That is, IIRC and if my mental math checks out.

This is correct.

Good point. WE gave them Murphy so I think that $$M exception is reduced accordingly, right? But if GS IS under the cap, they'd likely be willing to take on players from other teams. Fortunately, since we stripped them of so many picks and expiring contracts, they don't have much to offer as a trading partner.

Just want to say I've wanted him on the jazz for the longest time from his days in Indiana. If his knee comes back strong, he's not just some role player. He's a bonified starter or sixth man that plays starter minutes. His offense is not just 80% jumpers like someone mentioned earlier, and is an above average perimeter defender.

He's got a nasty streak in him that this team needs. If he recovers fully, then we just raped the Warriors hard core!

Yeah, I like Brandon Rush and have since he played for Indiana. They totally screwed the pooch letting him go and I thought so at the time.
