What's new

Was that Corbin coaching or snyder?Worst loss of the season BY FAR.

I thought QS gave the rest of the league a pretty good blueprint for disrupting Houston's offense.

Even The Rocket announcers, who are shameless homers, commented positively on Utah's defensive game plan (until the roof caved in last 6,7 minutes of course)

Jazz just don't have the personnel or the depth or the legs to pull it off.

Quin rode his horses (the ones that had the team up 8 there for a while) until the end. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it ends in a massive collapse as the other team adjusts. Tonight went sour really really quickly. I’m not a fan of riding a hot lineup for too long, but I understand why he chose to. Mitchell had a shorter leash than usual tonight. We’ll have to see how it plays out in the coming games

busting yams?

From Urban Dictionary:

TOP DEFINITION

The yams
The yams are what can bring a man low: whether it be drugs (like Richard Pryor), power and women (like Bill Clinton, yams also being a slang term for legs and a butt), or some other temptation like power or money
The yams brought it out of Richard Pryor
Manipulated Bill Clinton with desires

I thought they went in chowder...

Yam chowder is a new one for me lol. I think of yams with brown sugar and marshmallows if anything

I thought the coaches made a great game plan, they held Houston in check for 3-quarters, most teams are not doing what the Jazz did to Houston. Houstons average lead after 1-quarter is 6 points, and 10 points at half-time.

Ultimately the Jazz thin roster and long road trip caught up to them.

Burks was a +6 (highest on the team) in his 15 minutes.

I’m genuinely so so glad through all of the ups and downs you’re still a burks man

I’d like to see more of Good Burks instead of some of the Bad Burks mental lapses that he had last night. Would definitely love to see more of Burks over Rubio.

Gobert, Favors, Jingles, Hood and Mitchell to start. . . with Gobert/Favors then platooning at the 5 (and some focused Udoh minutes in there), JJ/Thabo playing the 4 the rest of the way and then a super-sub backcourt of Rubio and Burks going against bench units. I’m not sure that it would work, but it would be interesting to see.

When Eric Gordon is spotting up from 30 feet on the left side of a Harden isolation, that's just death. Gordon's man has to dig down a little bit to help on a potential Harden drive, or Harden is just getting to the rim for an easy layup or FT line trip. The whole game the Jazz challenged Rocket's shooters to make shots and they missed. Then they got red hot. Jazz had plenty of chances to bury the Rockets with their own wide open 3's and transition opportunities.
