Wassup with Sap?

Millsap will find his stride, don't worry about it.
Remember this team was going to be Deron and Sap's team before AJ was picked up.

He'll find his role again, and when he does, we'll have one of the best collections of bigs in the league.

4/5 & 4 ast through the 3rd. He's not having a monster game but it is a good game. He's matching Artest just fine.

Well he's certainly giving plenty of ammo to the 'Sap ain't an NBA starter' camp.

Millsap is 16 and 10 as a starter for his career - but all those games were without the team's #1 scoring option. Now he has to find shots in an offense where the #1 option is on the floor with him and has a similar offensive game. As of right now, this is a team problem - not a Millsap problem (albeit a good problem to have). They have to find a way to work him in.

This is a Laker problem. Sap is just too undersized to bang with the Laker bigs. He'll do just fine against inferior talent, but the Lakers, and talented length, will always give him trouble. Although, I have no doubt he'll contribute plenty this season.

Sap's fine. His scoring will go down a little tiny bit this year. Scoring will be spread around on the Jazz if the O stays this good. But he took an 18 footer that looked easy coming out of his hand. He had several nice passes. And he and Al should be able to get into a good flow on the inside.

Something doesn't seem right, that's for sure. I hope I'll be wrong about Millsap as a starter in the league.

Millsap's problem isnt about scoring 15 and 10. It is about finding way to be a good rebounder/defender without getting worn down. Sloan was more upset about a recent 1-rebound outing from Millsap in one of the preseason games than about the dip in his points. It was atypical of Sloan to call out Millsap on that, considering the mancrush he usually has on Millsap. Millsap is not the type to slack off. Hopefully we will see him pick it up in the regular season.
But I am more worried about his size w.r.t rebounding and defense than about scoring. He has enough offense to keep defenses honest.

Just a matter of learning how to use him. I do well enough with him if I stick to fifteen foot jump shots and scoring on offensive rebounds.

Yeah those games are all about knowing how to use a players strengths.
I can blowout the Lakers with the Jazz online, 80 percent of the time.
