So our order of selection of the balls is 12th. 12th players taken include Alex Burks, Jeremy Lamb, Steven Adams, Xavier Henry. Probably should be a serviceable piece.

Catchall's fortune cookie: This may be a blessing in disguise if it forces the Jazz to look at Portis who turns out to be the next Rasheed Wallace.

But that means we pick ahead of Indiana in the second round!!!

Always look on the bright side of life! Sing it with me!

All Good. Last year was a much more important coin-flip to secure. I'll take 12th.

If we were to jump into the top 3 would we even use it? Too bad theres not an elite wing prospect this yr

I want somebody to jump, just so that Miami loses it's pick to Philly.

Except, not OKC because that would hurt the jazz.

That was the very first NBA Draft Lottery, so the odds probably weren't the same as now.

Each non-playoff team in that lottery had the exact same chance of winning. So as far as the highest seed to jump up, it might be when the Magic won the lottery the 2nd year in a row and ended up with Penny Hardaway. I think they just missed the playoffs the previous season.

Since there were 27 teams that season, the Magic had the 11th best (aka worst) chances of all the lottery teams of winning the lottery and won it.
