I’m almost 100% certain he could have gotten more money elsewhere but I think the Jazz offered him a shot to start at PF on a one-year deal. Start for a contender and build your value. Possibly win a ring on the way as well. Sounds like a win-win all the way around. Another amazing signing. We’re ****ing killing it.
Sounds about right to me and what I thought. In addition, if he does well, Utah will probably work a good contract for him to stay. And if he doesn't want to stay, no hard feelings.
