What's new

Welcome to Election Day 2024,

the media has turned this day into a day of anxiety, fear, accusations, mistrust, and division.

The thing that America was once known for and envied by the rest of the world for has been turned into a debacle in such a short period of time by folks that believe the constant lies and propaganda.

Oh you haven't seen trump himself say anything critical about Americas elections. You definitely live in a different reality.
Also, you might not know this but media existed prior to 2016 and covered elections.

Still blows my mind that an independent candidate once received about 19 million votes (close to 20% of the American voters that year). And those 19 million votes amounted to a total of ZERO electoral votes. You would think 19 million people voting for a person could at least get them on the scoreboard. Nope.

Yep. The majority of citizens in the country could say the same thing.
I know my vote doesn't matter.
Looks like about 5 million Florida votes were flushed down the toilet according to that tweet.

If we had an amendment that electoral votes were divided by percentage of the popular vote suddenly those extra votes matter.

Yep but that might encourage more participation in the voting process. Which is a bad thing to many Americans.

Saw this and thought it was pretty funny:
We already have our first preview of election results, with the tiny northern New Hampshire town of Dixville Notch kicking off Election Day at midnight (as soon as legally permissible) to vote. The town's six registered voters — four Republicans, two undeclared — were split: three for Harris, and three for Trump.
