What's new

Well, you can't blame this one on the kid!

But he certainly didn't contribute much! 6-16, ten misses, 1-6 from 3 points land and a whopping 6 turnovers! However, looks like nobody on our team could hit the broad side of a barn! Must have been wore out from that GS game to lose this one at home to a second rate chump team! Didn't see the game....just going by the box score.

How many purely inflammatory troll threads = a ban? I mean, there's no argument that this is in any way an attempt at anything but pissing people off, right?
To clarify, this is genuinely not a rhetorical question. This contributes nothing to the community. In fact it actively (and likely intentionally) degrades it. Pretty sure everyone agrees.

I can blame anyone I choose, therefore I blame carolinajazz for officially jinxing us with his horrendous take on our previous loss! Off with his head!

And then off with something that really matters if he jinxes our next game. I don't know, his thumbs or something.

6 Turnovers is inexcusable. It's clear DM needs to work on what he does with the ball now that teams are paying more attention to him. He should adjust over time.

Our starters combined for 3/19 from the 3 point land.. which is quite horrible.

Overall it was an ugly day from an offensive standpoint. I guess the only good thing is that we weren't destroyed by 30+ points like we should have been.

I expect that the team will rally together to find a way past and move forward from these type of games.

Haha I'm surprised that carolinajazz is still around to be honest. I remember when i first joined it was between him and VINYLONE as to who would get banned first. The latter I appreciated to a certain extent. Gotta love this place, man! What the heck happened to VINNY!?

EDIT:

My memory ain't what it used to be. I think I joined much earlier before the overhaul in 2010. Still, those two were prominent parts of the forum.

The growing pains of DM are going to spread to everyone. He's not dominant enough offensively to pull himself through shooting ruts and will drive people nuts this year.

So reporting on the game makes me a troll and pissing people off? What do sports writers and reporters do all the time? They report on what they saw, write it down and submit it to there newspapers or websites!

You get ridiculously frantic and over-react to what you see.

I refuse to believe you actually consider your posts as journalism. No one is that dull.

CJ is spot on.
6/17 fgs in this game and
7/23 fgs in the warriors game.
Mitchell is a selfish chucker.
His selfishness is hurting the Jazz.

Some people on here applaud when Mitchell is ambitious enough to try desperation half court heaves at the end of quarters or shot clocks. Yet those same people will bash him for his 3p%. You can't have it both ways.

Donovan missed 3 3ps in the waining moments the other night. One was an awful airball but the others were really tough. Rubio, on the other hand, missed 3 crucial, open 3ps towards the middle of the 4th which would have kept us closer.

Mitchell is all heart. Much like Westbrook or Kyrie, he can't be judged simply by his %. His effect is much, much more than that. Its been a slow start for a number of our guys. If Favors and Rubio struggle, Mitchell will get much more attention from the other team.

We will improve. Stop throwing stones.

I've said this before numerous times, I'll say it again. Rookies have their rookie walls. But DM was so hyped and focused last season that the Jazz rookie will have a Sophomore wall. And I advise any doubters to watch him when he is done with it.

We are not throwing stones....we are critiquing the game! Players do it to themselves, coaches obviously do it and of course, sports writers are paid to do it! Hey, were all Jazz fanz here and we want to see them do good....better than last year! We've got some
very smart and talented ball players. But they all need to try and improve! The only two Jazz players that never had to improve were Stockton and Malone!

Vinyl has most recently been the stunt double for Tyrion. Great role for Vinyl, but almost too much of a tall task for him.

I've said it many times - critique the game and the player for that game. I just think it's silly to make absolutes about a guy 3 games into the season.
