We're Drafting Herzonja!

Just an observation, but maybe if you bothered to watch the video you quoted, it would have made your post obsolete, as the video clearly shows him hitting from everywhere, including several shots that were Jimmeresque.

cmon bro, you know highlights can be misleadin. anyone can look like michael jordan/jimmer on youtube higlights

I think the money is a big factor no matter where the player comes from.:D

ya but in euro the culture is just different, since players can go pro at like 13 or whatever and by the time they get drafted in the NBA, can sometimes be making equal or more money over there than their rookie contract here. look at ricky rubio for example.

"Inconsistent effort on defense"

That scares the crap out of me. We are 4-1 since Kanter left. I don't want some soft, euro chucker who is a diva and thinks he should be MJ in NYC.

No thanks.

I'm sending Jack Bauer over to your house to beat some sense into you. If that doesn't work he'll start removing fingers.

The international 3-pt line used to be closer than it is today. I think it's within a foot of the NBA line now. Plus Hezonja was shooting well behind it. He shot from just about every angle, with a mix of spot-ups, pull-ups off the catch and one off the bounce, I think. He's got comfortable 27-foot range with some room to spare.

Did you have the same reaction watching Hood in summer league?

I think it's just the Spanish announcer getting you all excited.

That feathery hit from well above the top of the key was pretty nice, you have to admit. A few of his quick turns and quick-release shots off the catch look quite a bit like Kyle Korver. See 1:10.

Oh just give it 4-5 years. Colin Cowherd will be talking about how the Jazz, the best defensive team in the NBA, won't be able to win a title because we do not Have enough offensive firepower. Then Dynamite Dan Stanczyk will interject by saying what about Mario Hezonja and Gordon Hayward, and then Cowherd will say something like this:
"Gordon Hayward is the Andy Dalton of the NBA. He's a Hack. Listen, Hayward is a boring water pistol. And as far as Hezonja goes, that guy is JR Smith except not as talented. Yeah good luck with that. Expect an early exit in the Playoffs Jazz fans. Your front office failed to supplement that defense with enough offense. You have no Stars. Everyone knows stars win in the NBA."

Whoever is the best shooter out of Winslow, Oubre or Hezonja we need to get.

or we just get Stanley Johnson and get a shooter in F/A.

I'm of the belief that Exum will develop significant offense, on par with Tony Parker, or even better. I also think Hezonja has the potential to score the ball like Manu did. Those are some long serious-scoring guards who will play both sides of the ball. Gobert just needs a bit of strength and a hook shot with either hand, and he'll score the ball too. That should be plenty of offense.

The best shooters at the wing (taking Russell out of the mix) are Hezonja, Oubre and Devin Booker.

Another guy who should be able to score the ball is Myles Turner, a near 7-footer who can hit a 15-foot jumper in his sleep.
