And it’s not always so simple. There may be another event at their stadium tomorrow night and the league wants to spread games out so there are ones (multiple ideally) every night.

What did that have to do with anything. Having a game end at midnight, then traveling to a different city to play again 36 hours later, barely having slept, and not having prepared, against a team that didn't have to deal with the same, puts you at a considerable disadvantage.

The whole series won't go like this.
