What's new

What are your top 3 places to hang out in SLC?

The Beerhive -- HUGE! selection of beers. The bar has ice inlayed in the counter-top to keep drinks cold.
The Red Door -- Small bar, my friend and I were ordering Hendricks Martinis. It was pretty nice, with great bartenders who know thier ****.

This is the kind of stuff I miss about drinking. I loved going to little out-of-the-way places and discovering cool people and different atmospheres.

Huka Bar
The Green Pig for its BURGER
Fashion place mall is really nice
Club elevate is a nice place, meet a lot of people from Colorado there over the weekend
The university of utah
West Valley Fitness center
The district
Jordan Landing <<< NIKE OUTLET
I know the ladies are raving about City Creek center, but I can't afford anything there. Plus I heard you can't even have any tattoos showing in the area LOL
I know a lot of my white buddies like the Westerner (but obviously I don't fit in)
Went to piper down once, pretty chill
area 51 on thursday if you are creeper
club allure for good laughs or easy chicks, ghetto.... though
Park city if you want a romantic evening with the lady, ate at the riverhorse, Newpark resort has hotel rooms with jacuzzis for decent price
I never touched Trolley Square since the tragedy....I am very sad to think about what happened there.

I was at the Fashion Place Mall a week or so ago...didn't look all that redone to me. Had it been more than 25 years since you were there last?

They just did the redid the food court, added an italian restaurant, big H&M, and a crate and barrel store (WTF, right?). They are also closing down the Sears by 2013.

I live by the Sears Grand in Jordan Landing and can't for the life of me figure out how they keep that place open. Employees outnumber customers by about 4:1 anytime I'm there. Good thing they have milk and frozen food, it's my go-to one stop shop when I can't make it to the walmart right next door.

There are things I don't miss about drinking, however.

Are you on drugs?

They redid the entire inside as well as the food court.

Added Crate and Barrel, H&M, and the Apple Store and moved Nordstrom to the other side.

Also Cheesecake Factory is there and would not come to Fashion Place unless it was REMODELED.

I guess let's say I'm not impressed.

I don't care if you are impressed. The fact is that it's been remodeled which is what you bitched about.

On a side not Fashion Place is the best option in the valley without having to go downtown.

Different stores doesn't equal a remodel, in my opinion. On the inside it's still the same old ****hole.
