What if the egg the Jazz laid in LA on Friday has sparked the Lakers and the Lakers end up making the playoffs over the Jazz?

Lakers are definitely alive now after a big win against OKC.

Kobe and Dwight (indirectly) talkin bad **** on Jazz after game too, saying win vs OKC was their "first win over a team worth ****" or "first win over a good team". Though I'm not sure I disagree.

The key for them seems to be 2 things: Health and balance.

I watched the game against okc today and i saw gasol, dwight, artest, nash, kobe, clark and even jodie meeks all contributing quite a bit.... They were really moving the ball around alot and being very versatile on offense.... one possesion they would throw it to dwight in the post, the next possesion kobe would post up or iso, then they would run pick and roll with nash and gasol, then the high low game with gasol and dwight, sometimes they went to artest down low in a mismatch with thabo.
Thier offense was actually quite enjoyable to watch today.... There is alot of options with that starting group, they just need to keep moving the ball around to be effective.

I love what I've seen of the Lakers of the last two games. As a fan of basketball. Especially how Kobe's playing.

****.

Easy to lay an egg........... when the ref lets Millsap's arm get grabbed that turned him sideways when he was driving the base line at the start of the game. It let the Jazz know there was no way they were going to be allowed to win. Just saying...........The reason I find the NBA so hard to watch.

The Lakers are playing decent defense and sharing the ball well on offense. Kobe is basically playing like a PG and it's working.

if kobe continues to accept that it's no longer a one-man-show where he was chucking and ignoring his teammates, the fakers will make the playoffs. kobe looked more like a team player today, à la lebron james, facilitating and doing everything on the floor. that's the recipe to success. lakers are a good team if kobe does not try to score 30 points on 30 shots with bad percentages. it all starts with kobe and the individuals thinking it's team first. kobe's big ego was a chemistry killer. when he looks different, the fakers look much different, too.

Me thinks still if their DWight, Kobe, Nash, Gasol and MWP continues to play 36+mins per game chances are they will still not make it.
Unless they trade and get some support.

As for the Jazz who knows what will happen. Will there be a trade? Mo coming back. No more injuries.
Jazz might still make it with the way Rockets, Blazers and Warriors are playing plus their schedules.

The worst part about LA getting better is that now they're very unlikely to trade my favorite player on that team in Gasol. Damn that sucks.

I have already said after Lakers' early underachievement that they will break out after the All-Star break so that wouldn't be a surprise to myself. I would love to see that roster battle with the others right this season rather than the next one.

The key for them is Gasol. If they keep his motivation high and let him operate on the low block as a back up getting nearly 30 min, they exactly dangerous team. Regard the facts of change on Kobe's mind and contribution of Nash most definitely they are better than us and they can climb over us.
