What is Enes Kanter's trade value?

I don't care how he ranks with his rookie class his first year. It can be difficult to keep in mind that Kanter, like Favors, was ALWAYS considered to be a project. You can say you accept that but then if you turn around and start comparing him to other more NBA ready rookies then the point is being lost. He was never meant to impress anyone yet.

Kanter likes it here, has a solid work effort, believes in himself and won't quit until he is a quality big in this league. Dude is going to make it, period. If not then he has a stellar carrer waiting for him in the WCW.

By his D and rebounding or what?

For starters, yes. Despite having hit a rough patch (that I think is a combination of playing more basketball than he ever has, but also simultaneously not given enough real opportunities to stay on the court), he's already shown an elite rebounding ability, and I was scared he would suck as a defender but he makes terrific decisions on the floor and he moves his feet stunningly well.

I don't know how you can argue against the Jazz losing at least 10 more games with him in and Jefferson gone/injured/benched. That's something I really wanted mind you, but I don't see how Enes would look a top 10 rookie given minutes at this point aside from a shaky class altogether.

Yeah, I wouldn't argue against that, either. But I don't particularly care, either. I'm not a tanking advocate, but this year for me has been all about seeing what The Four can show and what new ways Millsap haters/doubters have to contort themselves to keep arguing.

But anyway, I think he'd look top-10 pretty easily if he wasn't getting buried under Big Al. Seriously, the guy can do NOTHING to earn substantial minutes, you don't think that affects how a person - let alone a teenager - contributes? I'm not saying he should play 30 minutes a night right now, but he's supposed to have the opportunity to when he plays well, and he simply does not have that. It's insurmountable. I would watch 10 Kanters come and fail than watch Big Al do his cute dancing and tard hook wondering if someone better is just buried under him.

Also, I don't see much in this video that would be hard to reproduce with some consistency (I also can see how he could considerably improve):

Well said and hard to disagree with any of that. Again, I would only consider trading him if there is a sure fire All Star within 3 years max to be had for him. I'm not sure Kanter will be there in 4 years but he'll be good regardless.
